Ryan swims for Upper Dublin Aquatic Club and Haverford School.<\/p>\n<p>Ryan shared,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I chose Michigan State because it provided me with the ability to swim in the Big Ten and get a great education. The coaching staff was incredibly inviting and the team made me feel at home. I am extremely excited to be a Spartan.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>His best times are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100 Back 50.62<\/li>\n<li>200 Back 1:49.93<\/li>\n<li>200 IM 1:53.22<\/li>\n<li>100 Fly 50.46<\/li>\n<li>200 Fly 1:53.37<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ryan finished in the top 16 in both backstroke events at Speedo Junior Nationals this summer. In February at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2016-eastern-interscholastic-swimming-and-diving-championships\" target=\"_blank\">2016 Eastern Interscholastic Swimming Championships<\/a>, Ryan was third in the 100 backstroke and fourth in the 100 butterfly. The Haverford School took home runner up honors at that event.<\/p>\n<p>At Big Tens last year, Michigan State had five swimmers in the 100 backstroke. That group was led by\u00a0<strong>Ian Bernardo Rodriguez\u00a0<\/strong>(48.86), who finished just outside scoring range.
