Andrew Garcia<\/strong>, a senior at the Peddie School, has announced his verbal commitment to swim for Pitzer College and the Pomona-Pitzer swim team beginning with the 2017-18 season.<\/p>\n

The senior focuses primarily on freestyle, finishing seventh in the 200 free (1:43.13) at the 2016 Eastern Interscholastic Swimming and Diving Championships<\/a>. Additionally, Garcia was eleventh in the 500 free (4:58.04).<\/p>\n

Garcia explained to\u00a0Swimming World,<\/em><\/p>\n

“My trip to Pitzer was amazing! I loved the team, coaches, pool, campus,\u00a0and area around campus. The atmosphere\u00a0the team created during my trip was incredible and I immediately knew that I wanted to be apart of their program. The academic opportunities at Pitzer, as well as the other four C’s, offer so many different subjects of study that I can choose from as well. The Southern California weather is also a nice touch. Could not be more excited about becoming a Sagehen!!”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
