Grand Valley State split with Division I Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Friday, with the Laker men prevailing 152-92 and the Laker women falling 92-151 at home. That is the same final outcome for both teams as last year. <\/span><\/p>\n The Laker men started the meet off with a win in the 200 medley relay<\/span> (1:34.72) of <\/span>Harry Sholaman<\/b>, <\/span>Marius Mikalauskas<\/b>, <\/span>Liam Little<\/b>, and <\/span>JD Ham<\/b>, while <\/span>Danny Abbott <\/b>took both the 50 free (21.51) and 100 free (46.97). The men also closed with a win in the 400 freestyle relay (3:09.88) and had wins in the 1,000 free, 200 breaststroke, and 200 backstroke. <\/span><\/p>\n While the Laker women fell to UW-Milwaukee, the Laker women were dominant in the distance freestyle. <\/span>Melina Goebel <\/b>led a 1-2-3 finish in the 1,000 freestyle (10:32.55), and they also went 2-3-4 in the 500 freestyle. 2016 NCAA champion in the 1,650 <\/span>Leonie Van Noort <\/b>added a win in the 200 free (1:54.19) for good measure. <\/span>Goebel <\/b>also added a second win to shortly after the 1,000 in the 200 butterfly (2:10.64). Grand Valley State will take on Lewis at home on october 21st. <\/span><\/p>\n The visiting Drury women fell to Division I Arkansas, 128-77, in their first dual meet of the season. While they didn\u2019t come out on top in the final score, the Drury women did come out on top in several events. That included some back-to-back wins throughout the meet. Senior <\/span>Wen Xu <\/b>took both the 50 free (23.44) and 100 free (51.65), while <\/span>Bailee Nunn <\/b>pulled off a hat trick, winning the 200 IM (2:01.84), 100 butterfly (54.19), and 100 breaststroke (1:02.37).
