Riverside ran away with both titles. The women\u2019s team scored 457 points. Fort Mill racked up 299 for second and Wando finished third in 276.5. The Riverside boys totaled 427 points while Wando finished runner up with 360 and River Bluff secured third place honors with 220 points.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Girls&#8217; Meet<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Riverside got off to a quick start winning the women\u2019s 200 medley relay in 1:48.25 with the team of <b>Madelinne Reilly,\u00a0Rachel Lentz, Maegan Rudolph<\/b>, and <b>Ariana Schneider<\/b>. <b>Charlie Pickens<\/b>, <b>Susan Swavely<\/b>,\u00a0<b>Auburn Dantice<\/b>, and <b>Anjali Borsum <\/b>combined for a 1:49.82 to claim silver for TL Hannah. Rounding out the podium was Fort Mill\u2019s <b>Erynn Black<\/b>, <b>Sara Greene<\/b>, <b>Shelbey Fuller<\/b>, and <b>Julia Herron <\/b>(1:50.77).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Riverside\u2019s\u00a0<b>Emily Hormonanski <\/b>ran away with the 200 freestyle, touching in 1:53.59. Fort Mill Senior <b>Jenna Pehowski <\/b>edged Dorman\u2019s <b>Rachel Reistoffer <\/b>1:55.88 to 1:55.91 for silver.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Hormonanski\u2019s teammates\u00a0<b>Jessi Snover <\/b>and <b>Hannah Ownbey\u00a0<\/b>topped the next event with Snover stopping the clock in 2:03.91 and Ownbey finishing in 2:07.41 in the 200 IM title. Just two tenths behind was Black. Snore made it two for the night, later winning the 100 fly in 54.83. Rudolph was second (55.74) and Hormonanski (56.98) earned bronze.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Aubrey Chandler <\/b>was the only swimmer under 25 seconds as the Fort Mill freshman took home her first state crown.\u00a0<b>Lance Jo Knight <\/b>(25.03)\u00a0of Rock Hill and <b>Alaina Smith <\/b>(25.12)\u00a0of Dorman rounded out the podium. Chandler couldn\u2019t complete the sprint double, finishing fourth in 54.05. Racing back to back events, Rudolph sprinted to the top of the 100 freestyle in 53.28. Smith was second in this event (53.62) while Schneider snuck onto the podium in 53.93.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Rising from her bronze in the 200, Reistroffer secured gold with a 5:05.63 second 500 free. Wade Hampton\u2019s <b>Audra McSharry <\/b>made her work for it, as she stopped the clock in 5:07.80. Pickens picked up third in 5:11.62.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Riverside made it two for two on relays as Hormonanski, Schneider, Snover, and <b>Hannah Ownbey <\/b>(1:36.99) crushed the 200 freestyle relay field. Greene, Herron, <b>Jenna Pehowski<\/b>, and Chandler touched in 1:41.05 for silver for Fort Mill. In 1:42.53 <b>Kaitlin Sebring<\/b>, <b>Scarleyy Smith<\/b>,\u00a0<b>Lauren Murray<\/b>, and <b>Samantha Mosher <\/b>got JL Mann onto the podium.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Black stopped the clock in 56.82 to win the 100 backstroke ahead of Clover freshman <b>Anna Ashley <\/b>(58.10) and Mauldin\u2019s <b>Jodi Ogle <\/b>(59.26). Ownbey posted a swift 1:05.00 to claim the 100 breaststroke while West Florence\u2019s <b>Caroline Spence <\/b>(1:05.93) and Summerville\u2019s <b>Meredith Welsh <\/b>(1:06.78) also made their way onto the podium.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">With a 3:32.08, Ownbey, Hormonanski, Rudolph and Snover made it a relay sweep for Riverside. Dorman\u2019s <b>Makenzie\u00a0Blaakman,\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0<b>Rachel Reistroffer<\/b>, <b>Michaela Rogers<\/b>, and Smith finished second in 3:37.15. Fort Mill\u2019s <b>Jenna Pehowski<\/b>, <b>Kylie Namowicz<\/b>, Black, and Chandler earned bronze in 3:37.89.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Boys\u2019 Meet<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Wando boys led the way in the opening relay as <b>Chase Collier<\/b>, <b>Dan Sulkowski<\/b>, <b>Johnny Gush<\/b>, and <b>Ryan Pitts <\/b>touched in 1:36.73. In a tighter battle behind them Riverside\u2019s <b>Jacob Hammond<\/b>, <b>Cam Viney<\/b>, <b>Jake\u00a0Preset, <\/b>and <b>Brandon Meier<\/b> (1:39.08) were just faster than River Bluff\u2019s <b>Tyler Horan<\/b>, <b>Brain Loos<\/b>, <b>David Rypkema<\/b>, and <b>Connor Slattery <\/b>(1:39.49).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Boiling Spring\u2019s\u00a0<b>Price Agnew <\/b>had a strong back half to his 200 freestyle but it wasn\u2019t enough as Spartanburg\u2019s <b>Remy Skerjanz <\/b>held on to win the event 1:43.72 to 1:43.81. Gush finished third in 1:44.61.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Fort Mill\u2019s <b>Ben Fenwick <\/b>(1:53.82) was well ahead of the 200 IM field. Nation Ford\u2019s <b>Ryan Williams <\/b>(1:56.28) and Spartanburg\u2019s <b>Spencer Ashby <\/b>(1:59.25) joined him on the podium. Meier out touched West Ashley\u2019s <b>Cooper Bennett <\/b>21.97 to 22.04 for the 50 freestyle title. Less than a tenth behind him was Lexington\u2019s <b>Jackson Hardy <\/b>(22.12). Meir made it a sprint sweep with a 47.81 in the 100. Bennett was again second, this time in 48.61 and Pitts rounded out the podium in 49.11, the last swimmer under 50 seconds.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Gush extended his relay speed to post a 51.42 and win the 100 fly. River Buff\u2019s <b>Brian Loos <\/b>(52.90) and Hardy (53.22) finished second and third.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Fenwick won his second event of the night, this time in a tighter battle. The junior posted a 4:38.92 to beat Agnew (4:39.39) for the 500 freestyle title. Dutch Fork\u2019s <b>Wyatt Boyer <\/b>(4:44.80) finished third.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Gillespie Walker<\/b>, <b>Luke Martin, Remy Skerjanz, <\/b>and Ashby won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:29.80. River Buff (1:30.27) took silver with the team of Horan, <b>Jack Roddey<\/b>, Loos, and Slattery. Seven tenths behind was Riverside\u2019s <b>Kai Van den Bosch<\/b>, <b>JP\u00a0Newton, Jacob Hammond, <\/b>and <b>Michael\u00a0Juengle <\/b>(1:30.97).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Juengel (52.75) was then just faster than Skerjanz (52.89) for the 100 backstroke title. Also fresh off a relay, Hammond (53.35) was third. In the 100 breaststroke Loos was first to the wall in 58.19. In an exciting touch Sulkowski (59.00) and Spring Valley\u2019s <b>Jonathan Frye <\/b>(59.08) finished second and third.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Riverside\u2019s <b>Jake Prewette<\/b>, <b>Jake Young<\/b>, Viney, and Meier closed the night with gold in 3:18.44 in the 400 freestyle relay. Lexington\u2019s <b>Preston Mazzei<\/b>, <b>Austin Rich<\/b>, <b>Seth Kurtz<\/b>, and Hardy took silver in 3:21.12.
