Fong is a distance swimmer for the Jersey Wahoos.\u00a0College swimming is something Fong will be familiar with as her brother\u00a0<strong>Zach\u00a0<\/strong>is a sophomore at the University of Virginia this year. The Fong family also has a history with Villanova. Her father has two degrees from the University.<\/p>\n<p>Her best times are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>500 Free 5:01.06<\/li>\n<li>1000 Free 10:10.93<\/li>\n<li>1650 Free 17:06.80<\/li>\n<li>200 IM 2:07.74<\/li>\n<li>400 IM 4:33.50<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>She told\u00a0<em>Swimming World<\/em>,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I&#8217;m so excited to announce my commitment to Villanova University. The coaches and team immediately made me feel at home from the moment I stepped onto campus. It has the perfect balance of swimming and academics and I can&#8217;t wait for the next four years! Go wildcats!&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Fong also swims for Moorestown High School where she is a team captain this year. Last year she finished seventh for her school at the New Jersey Public School state championships in the 200 IM.<\/p>\n<p>Villanova enters this season as the defending <a href=\"http:\/\/swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2016-big-east-championships\" target=\"_blank\">Big East Conference<\/a>\u00a0champions. Fong will be a scoring contributor to that success. She would have finished sixth in the mile last year. Wildcats took three of the top four spots in that event.
