AFTER clinching its dual-meet victory over Indiana Friday evening, Texas officially nailed down the team victory on Saturday as junior diver Matt Cooper captured the platform diving event to finish off the meet at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.  <\/p>\n<p>With Cooper&#8217;s nine points added to the team tally, Texas defeated Indiana by a 179-149 count after staking itself to an insurmountable 170-140 lead Friday evening.  Cooper captured Saturday&#8217;s platform event with 366.35 points and defeated his nearest competitor by well over 100 points.<\/p>\n<p>Cooper and the Longhorns will take a break from competition and are set to resume the season on Dec. 3 when UT hosts the opening session of the Texas Invitational at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.   <\/p>\n<p>The above article is a press release submitted to Swimming World Magazine.
