IT&#39;s been just two days since the last update, and we&#39;ve been swamped with news on recent verbal commitments as part of the College Recruit Rankings.<\/p>\n<p>Five star <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=5499 target=_blank>Dan O&#39;Connor<\/a> made the choice to head to North Carolina for his collegiate years.  O&#39;Connor, who swims for the Syracuse Chargers and preps at Westhill, has long course senior national cuts in the 400-meter free (4:01.01), 1500-meter free (15:46.19) and 400-meter IM (4:30.24). He also owns NCAA Division I B cuts in the 500-yard free (4:27.25) and 1650-yard free (15:26.89).<\/p>\n<p>O&#39;Connor joins four other five stars headed to North Carolina as <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=8147 target=_blank>Patrick Ceddia<\/a>, <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=8136 target=_blank>Emily Kelly<\/a>, <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=6553 target=_blank>Stephanie Peacock<\/a> and <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=6583 target=_blank>Katherine Rechsteiner<\/a> have already committed to UNC.<\/p>\n<p>Five star <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=7477 target=_blank>Erica Dittmer<\/a> will remain in Texas as a part of the Texas A&#038;M Aggie squad.  Dittmer, who swims for Pack and preps at Klein High in Texas, holds long course senior national cuts in the 100-meter breast (1:12.01) and 200-meter breast (2:33.01).<\/p>\n<p>Princeton added a pair of verbal commitments recently.  Five star <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=5933 target=_blank>Andrea Kropp<\/a>, who preps at Flintridge Sacred Heart and swims for Swim Pasadena, has long course senior national cuts in the 100-meter breast (1:12.33), 200-meter breast (2:32.33), 200-meter IM (2:19.22) and 400-meter IM (4:49.08).  <\/p>\n<p>Three star <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=8128 target=_blank>Kasey Morris<\/a> of Tidewater Aquatics and Oscar Smith High will join Kropp as a future swimmer for Princeton.<\/p>\n<p>Five star <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=5764 target=_blank>Lindsey LaPorte<\/a>, who swims for Scottsdale Aquatics and preps at Pinnacle High, is headed to Louisville.  She has long course senior national cuts in the 400-meter free (4:18.18) and 800-meter free (8:49.66).  She joins three star <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=8275 target=_blank>Carly Munchel<\/a> of WSY Swimming in Louisville&#39;s Class of 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Arizona picked up another five star of a deepening Class of 2010.  <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=6970 target=_blank>Michael Sheppard<\/a>, who swims for Memphis Thunder and preps at St. George&#39;s, is a backstroker with long course senior national cuts in the 100-meter back (56.63) and 200-meter back (2:01.16).  He also has B cuts in the 100-yard back (48.41) and 200-yard back (1:45.15).<\/p>\n<p>He joins a solid recruit class thus far made up of five stars <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=6535 target=_blank>Mitch Friedemann<\/a>, <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=5938 target=_blank>Margo Geer<\/a>, <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=6794 target=_blank>Tommy Gutman<\/a>, <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=6062 target=_blank>Ellis Miller<\/a> and <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=5844 target=_blank>Aubrey Peacock<\/a> as well as four star <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=6867 target=_blank>Grace Finnegan<\/a> and three star <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=8256 target=_blank>Kait Flederbach<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Four star <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=5774 target=_blank>Matt Roney<\/a> is another Texas-based recruit remaining close to home.  Roney, who swims for the Dallas Mustangs and preps at Cistercian, will bring his long course senior national cut time of 1:53.16 in the 200-meter free to SMU.<\/p>\n<p>Four star <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=6054 target=_blank>Stephen Lichtner<\/a> add to a strong class brewing at the University of Florida.  Lichtner, who swims for Metro Aquatic Club and preps at Miami Palmetto Senior High, holds a long course senior national cut in the 100-meter free (51.12).
