Her brother\u00a0<strong>Gunnar\u00a0<\/strong>was an Olympic gold medalist this summer and will be in his senior year at the University of Georgia when Raleigh moves to Baton Rouge\u00a0next fall.<\/p>\n<p>Bentz\u00a0shared on her Instagram,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;So excited to announce my verbal commitment to LSU! Can&#8217;t wait to see what the next 4 years of school have in store for me and to see how my swimming career will grow! GEAUX TIGERS!&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Bentz swims for Dynamo Swim Club in Atlanta. Her best times are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 Back 25.85<\/li>\n<li>100 Back 55.34<\/li>\n<li>200 Back 2:00.97<\/li>\n<li>100 Fly 55.49<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Swimming for\u00a0Providence Christian Academy, Bentz was the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/nail-biters-westminster-and-marist-take-home-the-glory-at-finals-of-georgia-high-school-state\/\" target=\"_blank\">Georgia 1-5A High School State Champion<\/a> in the 100 back (55.34) last year. She also finished third in the 100 butterfly (55.49).<\/p>\n<p>The Tigers finished seventh last year at <a href=\"http:\/\/swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2016-southeastern-conference-championships\" target=\"_blank\">SEC Championships<\/a>. Bentz is not quite in scoring range yet. LSU had two seniors score in the 100 back last year. Freshman\u00a0<strong>Haylee Knight\u00a0<\/strong>(54.92) will be last year&#8217;s only SEC 100 back swimming Tiger still on campus next fall.
