Yager and Sykes are very similar breaststrokers and IMers while Nunan is a strong distance freestyler.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Alexis Yager<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Yager is a breaststroker and IMer for Academy Bullets Swim Club in Illinois.<\/p>\n<p>Her best times are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 Breast 29.41<\/li>\n<li>100 Breast 1:01.91<\/li>\n<li>200 Breast 2:14.29<\/li>\n<li>200 IM 2:01.34<\/li>\n<li>400 IM 4:17.04<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This summer, she swam both breaststroke and IMs at Olympic Trials.\u00a0In short course, from 2016 to 2015 she knocked six seconds off her best 200 breaststroke time. Her 400 IM has also come down four seconds in addition to a nearly full second drop in the 100 breaststroke. Along the way she was the 2015 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2015-illinois-girls-high-school-state-championships\" target=\"_blank\">Illinois High School<\/a> state champion in the 200 IM (2:01.58) and fourth in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.37). Yager&#8217;s recent improvement is coming at just the right time to make an entrance into the SEC.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Emily Sykes<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Fort Washington, Pennsylvania resident swims for Upper Dublin Aquatic Club and is also a breaststroker and IMer.<\/p>\n<p>Her best times are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100 Breast 1:02.73<\/li>\n<li>200 Breast 2:18.10<\/li>\n<li>200 IM 2:03.86<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>She swam the long course edition of her best events at Junior Nationals this summer where her highest finished (15th) came in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.11). She represented Methacton Senior High School at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/gwynedd-mercy-academy-breaks-400-free-relay-pennsylvania-high-school-state-record\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pennsylvania AAA High School<\/a> State Championships last spring. At that meet, she finished fourth in the 200 IM (2:03.86) and second in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.73).<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Amanda Nunan<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Nunan swims for the Egg Harbor Township Seahwaks in New Jersey. She attends Ocean City High School. Last year she was the 200 freestyle high school state champion. Nunan also won the 500 freestyle in meet record time (4:46.31). Additionally she swam on the team&#8217;s 200 and 400 freestyle relays.<\/p>\n<p>Her best times are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>200 Free 1:48.26<\/li>\n<li>500 Free 4:45.29<\/li>\n<li>1000 Free 9:52.27<\/li>\n<li>1650 Free 16:27.30<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This summer Nunan raced the 100-800 freestyles at Junior Nationals and the 400 and the 800 at Olympic Trials.<\/p>\n<h3>SEC Outlook<\/h3>\n<p>At SEC Championships last year, it took a sub-two minute swim to final in the 200 IM so neither Yager or Sykes are in that range yet. In the breaststroke events, Yager would have snuck into\u00a0the C final last year. On the freestyle side of things Nunan would have landed in scoring range.
