SEVERAL more top recruits around the nation have made their college decisions, including a surge from prospects interested in the University of Arizona.<\/p>\n<p>After a handful of recruits pledged to be Wildcats after their senior seasons, head coach Frank Busch now has five five stars and a four star at the core of his Class of 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Five star <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=5938 target=_blank>Margo Geer<\/a>, who swims for Springfield YMCA and preps at Fairbanks High, has reportedly committed to Arizona.  She owns long course senior national cuts in the 50-meter free (25.88), 100-meter free (55.83), 200-meter free (2:03.48), 100-meter back (1:02.68) and 200-meter back (2:18.54). She also would have qualified to compete at the 2009 NCAA Division I Championships in the 50-yard free (22.40) and 100-yard free (48.99).<\/p>\n<p>Five star <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=6794 target=_blank>Tommy Gutman<\/a> is also headed to Tucson.  Gutman, who swims for and preps at Bolles School, is a sprinter with long course senior national cuts in the 50-meter free (23.28) and 100-meter free (51.33). He also holds NCAA Division I B cuts in the 50-yard free (20.21) and 100-yard breast (55.51).<\/p>\n<p>Five star <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=6062 target=_blank>Ellis Miller<\/a> is the third five star to recently commit to Arizona. Miller, who swims for Razorback Aquatics and preps at Siloam Springs, has long course senior national cuts in the 100-meter back (57.36), 200-meter back (2:01.00), 100-meter fly (54.78) and 200-meter fly (2:03.90). He also has a B cut in the 200-yard back (1:46.10).<\/p>\n<p>Four star <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=6867 target=_blank>Grace Finnegan<\/a> will also be a Wildcat. Finnegan, who swims for the Greater Columbus Swim Team and preps at Bishop Watterson, has B cuts in the 50-yard free (22.89) and 100-yard free (49.67).<\/p>\n<p>The foursome join five stars <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=6535 target=_blank>Mitch Friedemann<\/a> and <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=5844 target=_blank>Aubrey Peacock<\/a> as members of the Wildcat Class of 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Five star <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=6636 target=_blank>Cindy Tran<\/a> joined two other five stars as an early commitment to Teri McKeever of California. Tran, who swims at West Coast Swimming, would have finished in the points at the 2009 NCAA Division I Championships with a time of 52.52 in the 100-yard back.  That swim would have put her in the B final.  She joins <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=5312 target=_blank>Deborah Roth<\/a> and <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=7937 target=_blank>Samantha Shellem<\/a> as future Golden Bears.<\/p>\n<p>Four star <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=5424 target=_blank>Hillary Petersen<\/a> is headed to Virginia. Petersen, who swims for the Gator Swim Club and preps at Buchholz High, owns a long course senior national cut in the 400-meter free (4:19.24). She also holds a B cut in the 500-yard free (4:51.16).  Petersen joins five stars <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=6472 target=_blank>Caroline Kenney<\/a> and <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=7525 target=_blank>Emily Lloyd<\/a> as well as four star <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=8230 target=_blank>Jonathan Buerger<\/a> as future swimmers at Virginia.<\/p>\n<p>A few other recruits have also made their choices known through the College Recruit Rankings system.
