The University of Georgia’s Class of 2021 grew again with a verbal commitment from\u00a0Olivia Anderson<\/strong>. Anderson hails from\u00a0Mississauga, Canada where she is a distance swimmer\u00a0training under Kevin Thorburn<\/strong> at Etobicoke Swimming.<\/p>\n

Anderson will bring a wealth of experience with her to Athens. At Canadian Olympic Trials<\/a> in April, Anderson finished runner up (8:38.34) to Georgia Bulldog and NCAA Champion\u00a0Brittany Maclean\u00a0<\/strong>in the 800 freestyle. This summer at Junior Pan Pacific Championships<\/a>, she was a leader for the Canadian team. Anderson touched third in the 800 freestyle (8:32.34), fifth in the 400 free (4:14.20) and second in the 1500 (16:18.66).<\/p>\n
