For more information about Agon, visit their website <a href=\"https:\/\/agonswim.com\/\">AgonSwim.com<\/a>.<\/i><\/i><\/p>\n<p><strong>Carson Burt\u00a0<\/strong>has given his verbal commitment to the University of Buffalo.\u00a0He swims for Powel Crosely Jr. YMCA in Cincinnati, Ohio.<\/p>\n<p>Burt told\u00a0<em>Swimming World<\/em>,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I chose UB because on my trip I immediately connected with the team and coaching staff. The team was extremely close and everyone was super welcoming! I felt almost at home and could see myself spending the next 4 years there as a student athlete!&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>His best times are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 Free 21.45<\/li>\n<li>100 Free 46.00<\/li>\n<li>200 Free 1:40.06<\/li>\n<li>500 Free 4:32.52<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At YMCA Nationals this summer, Burt placed sixth in the 100 freestyle. He also swims for his high school, Wyoming High school. At the 2016 Ohio Division 2 State Championships, he was the runner up in the 200 freestyle. He was also third in the 100 freestyle. Wyoming also won the 200 freestyle relay and took home bronze in the 400 freestyle relay.<\/p>\n<p>At last year&#8217;s Mid-American Conference Championship, Burt would have finished just outside scoring in the 100 freestyle.\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ohios-liam-halpin-chooses-university-of-buffalo\/\" target=\"_blank\">Liam Halpin<\/a><\/strong> has also given his verbal commitment to the Bulls.<\/p>\n<p><em>To report a college commitment email <a href=\"mailto:HS@swimmingworld.com\">HS@swimmingworld.com<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Agon is the proud sponsor of all high school coverage (recruiting, results, state championships, etc.) on SwimmingWorld.com. She grew up swimming in and has also coached in Raleigh, North Carolina.
