Quast is from Plymouth, Minnesota and swims for Aquajets Swim Team.<\/p>\n<p>Quast explained,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I chose Notre Dame because of the amazing people on the staff and on the team. I felt so welcome every time I was there, and I\u2019m really looking forward to my next four years! &#8220;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Quast&#8217;s best times are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 Back 25.16<\/li>\n<li>100 Back 53.69<\/li>\n<li>200 Back 1:57.97<\/li>\n<li>50 Free 23.31<\/li>\n<li>100 Free 50.63<\/li>\n<li>200 Free 1:47.94<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Wayzta High School senior is\u00a0a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American and the defending Minnesota High School Class AA state champion in the 200 free and 100 backstroke.<\/p>\n<p>Those times will be a big help to the Fighting Irish squad that finished seventh at the <a href=\"http:\/\/swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2016-acc-womens-championships\" target=\"_blank\">2016 ACC meet<\/a>. She would have been a 100 backstroke B finalist last season. Notre Dame had two in that heat, including\u00a0<strong>Alice Treuth\u00a0<\/strong>(54.16) who will be a junior when Quast gets to campus next fall.
