SOMERS, Wisconsin, October 13. AN NCAA "A" time for Guy Kogel (University of Indianapolis) and multiple NCAA " B" times for Shara Stafford (University of Florida) earned them the Counsilman Hunsaker National Collegiate Swimmer-of-the-Week Honors. Also earning the award were Shaune Fraser (University of Florida) and Maura Donahue (University of Indianapolis). The four won the award based on their performances for the week of October 5-11.<\/p>\n
Division I Women
\nShara Stafford, University of Florida
\nStafford (Topeka, KS) had two wins in the 166.5-131.5 dual meet victory over Virginia. Stafford won the 100 freestyle (49.70-NCAA "B" time) and the 200 freestyle (1:48.34-NCAA "B" time). The sophomore also assisted on the winning 200 medley relay (1:41.50) and the winning 400 freestyle relay (3:22.15). <\/p>\n
Division I Men
\nShaune Fraser, University of Florida
\nFraser (George Town, Cayman Islands) had three wins in the 159-141 dual meet victory over Virginia. Fraser won the 100 butterfly (48.12- NCAA "B" time), 200 butterfly (1:45.93- NCAA "B" cut), and the 200 individual medley (1:49.92). The senior also assisted on the winning 200 medley relay (1:31.53). <\/p>\n
Division II Women
\nMaura Donahue, University of Indianapolis
\nDonahue (Milan, MI) won the 500 freestyle (5:05.99- NCAA "B" cut) and swam to a second place finish in the 200 individual medley (2:11.930-NCAA "B" cut) at the Indiana Intercollegiate meet. The freshman also contributed to the fourth place 200 medley relay (1:51.66), thus helping the Greyhounds to third place.<\/p>\n
Division II Men
\nGuy Kogel, University of Indianapolis
\nKogel (Nahalal, Israel) had one win to help the Greyhounds to a third place finish at the Indiana Intercollegiates. Kogel won the 100 butterfly (49.93- NCAA "A" cut) and swam to a second place finish in the 200 freestyle (1:43.83). The sophomore also assisted on the third place 200 medley relay (1:36.41).<\/p>\n
Division III had no nominations<\/p>\n
