Emily Manly\u00a0<\/strong>has brought Liberty University’s verbal commitment count this week to three. Kiah Francis<\/a><\/strong> and Payton Keiner<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0also gave Liberty the verbal nod.<\/p>\n

Manly is from Sunnyvale, Texas and swims for the Rockwall Aquatic Center of Excellence. Her best events are backstroke and IM. Manly’s best times are:<\/p>\n

She shared her thoughts on her college choice,<\/p>\n
“I am pleased to announce my commitment to swim at Liberty University. I am so impressed with how far their swimming and diving program has come in such a short time. Coach Jake and Coach Jessica are passionate about this team, and their ongoing vision for it. I knew I had to be a part of what is going on there. After visiting Liberty, walking the campus, and spending time with the team, I knew this was home.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Her highest finish for Sunnyvale High School at the Texas 5A State Championships<\/a> came at the 2016 meet where Manly finished third in the 100 Back (57.22). Last year she was also fourth in the 200 IM in 2:05.74.<\/p>\n
Liberty finished as runner-ups at the 2016 CCSA Championships<\/a>. In the 400 IM at last year’s meet, Manly would have finished in the A final, along with newcomer Francis. She’ll also have a backstroke training partner in Keiner (54.59\/1:58.58). Manly would have snuck into the 200 back A final and been a 100 back B finalist.<\/p>\n
