Cards Game"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two-time Olympian\u00a0<strong>Conor Dwyer\u00a0<\/strong>joined the Chicago Cubs this afternoon\u00a0at Wrigley Field to throw the first pitch of their game versus the St. Louis Cardinals.<\/p>\n<p>Dwyer, who holds a unique connection to the Chicago Cubs, is no stranger to the pitchers mound having thrown out the first pitch at two previous games in the past four years, as well as leading the seventh inning stretch with\u00a0<strong>Cullen Jones<\/strong> at the Cubs v. Reds game in June 2015.<\/p>\n<p>His unique connection to the Chicago Cubs is courtesy of his grandfather, <strong>Jim Dowdle<\/strong>, who helped run the club while he was an executive VP at Tribune Co., the owners of the team before the Ricketts family purchased it.
