For more information about Agon, visit their website <a href=\"https:\/\/agonswim.com\/\">AgonSwim.com<\/a>.<\/i><\/i><\/p>\n<p>Texas Ford Aquatics&#8217;<strong> Rachel Ramey\u00a0<\/strong>will be bringing her breaststroke talents to the University of Florida beginning with the 2017-2018 season.<\/p>\n<p>Ramey&#8217;s best times are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100\/200 Breast: 1:01.78\/2:11.30<\/li>\n<li>200 IM: 2:04.50<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The high school senior has been on a quick improvement. She&#8217;s knocked six seconds off her best 200 in the past year and brought her best 100 time down from a 1:04.06 in 2015. She carried that into long course, where Ramey was the runner up in the 200 breaststroke at this summer&#8217;s Speedo Junior Nationals. She was also a finalist in the 100 breaststroke.<\/p>\n<p>The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American is the defending <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/frisco-girls-austin-vandegrift-boys-win-texas-5a-state-high-school-championships\/\" target=\"_blank\">Texas 5A State Champion<\/a>\u00a0and record holder in the 100 breaststroke. That finish followed a second place showing in the 2014 4A meet. Swimming for Heritage High School in Frisco, Texas, she was also third in the 200 IM last year.<\/p>\n<p>Ramey will also have scoring ability in the deep SEC Conference and fill a breaststroke gap in the Gator lineup. At <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2016-southeastern-conference-championships\" target=\"_blank\">last season&#8217;s meet<\/a>, she would have been at the top of the C final in the 100 breaststroke. Sophomore\u00a0<strong>Paige Scheriger\u00a0<\/strong>(1:03.06) was the Gators&#8217; only swimmer in the event. In the longer distance, Ramey&#8217;s best time would place her at the top of the B final, once again leading the way for the Gators. Florida finished tenth of twelve teams in last year&#8217;s 400 medley relay.
