CHAD Bobrosky, a five-star recruit from the Class of 2010, is the next subject in the <i>Swimming World<\/i> College Recruit Rankings Profiles series. Bobrosky hails from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and swims for <a href=http:\/\/www.cascadeswimming.com\/ target=_blank>Cascade Swimming<\/a>. He attends Bishop Carrol High.<\/p>\n<p>Bobrosky maintains his <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=7554 target=_blank>profile<\/a> in the <i>Swimming World<\/i> <a href=http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/tym target=_blank>College Recruit Rankings<\/a> powered by <i>Take Your Marks<\/i>, and is an all-around threat.<\/p>\n<p>His top long course meter times would have earned him several spots at the U.S. Long Course Senior National meet this year.  He owns top times in the 200 free (1:51.38), 400 free (3:55.69), 1500 free (15:50.04) and 200 IM (2:07.19).<\/p>\n<p><b>Where and when did you start swimming?<\/b><br \/>\nI started swimming when I was six and initially swam with The Woodlands Swim Team in Texas for my first two years.<\/p>\n<p><b>Who would you name as the most influential person and coach in your swimming career?<\/b><br \/>\nThe most influential person is definitely my mom; she has been supportive of me and my swimming ambitions throughout my swimming career. Without the support I have received from my family, I have no doubt in my mind that I could not have achieved what I have achieved. <\/p>\n<p>The most influential coach would have to be my current coach Wendy Johnston who has been coaching me for the past few years. Wendy has been a great coach and has helped me realize my full potential and make my goals a reality.    <\/p>\n<p><b>What, to this point, is your best moment in the sport and why?<\/b><br \/>\nThe best moment for me in swimming so far would have to be when I was selected for the Canadian team that went to the Australian Olympic festival because it marked my entrance onto the international stage of swimming for the first time.  <\/p>\n<p><b>Walk us through a day of practice:<\/b><br \/>\nOn Monday, Wednesday and Friday I wake up at 5:00 have breakfast and then go to pool. Our morning practice is two hours long which is divided up into an hour of swimming and either an hour of weight room activities or an hour of conversion. From morning practice I go and eat a second breakfast and then go to school from 9-3:10. My afternoon practice starts at 4:00 and goes to 6:00 or 6:30 (longer if there was no morning practice that day).  Practice consists of an hour and a half of swimming and the rest dry land.  Saturday mornings and Friday afternoons are 2 hours straight swimming workouts.<\/p>\n<p><b>What is your favorite set?<\/b><br \/>\n30X100 on 1:40  -12 pace plus 1    (1500 pace or add a second for 400 pace)<br \/>\n                       \t&#8211; 10  at pace<br \/>\n                      \t &#8211; 8  faster than pace  <\/p>\n<p><b>What is your least favorite set?<\/b><br \/>\nAnything that includes fly, I can&#39;t seem to do fly to save my life.<\/p>\n<p> <b>What are your short-term goals?<\/b><br \/>\nCommonwealth games next summer and more national age group 15-17 records<\/p>\n<p><b>What are your long-term goals?<\/b><br \/>\nOlympics 2012, as well as a medal at an Olympic Games and a World Championships.<\/p>\n<p><b>What colleges are you interested in so far?<\/b><br \/>\nArizona, California, Florida, North Carolina, Purdue, Ohio State, University of Southern California<\/p>\n<p><b>What has the recruiting process been like so far, now that you are allowed to be called by coaches?<\/b><br \/>\nIt has been interesting and an eye opener for me.
