University of Kansas sophomores <\/span><b>Haley Bishop<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Libby Walker<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> both took home the individual title, tying for first place with matching times of 1:05:48.32. Kansas freshman <\/span><b>Jenny Nusbaum <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was not far behind, grabbing third in 1:05:48.85 to make it a Jayhawk sweep of the podium. <\/span><b>Stanislas Raczynski<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from Emmanuel College won the men\u2019s individual title, leading the entire race despite going slightly off course around the first buoy. <\/span><b>Marcelo Figueiredo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Carson-Newman University finished second in the men\u2019s race, while the Cincinnati Bearcats grabbed third through sixth positions to claim the team title. Both men entered this summer\u2019s Olympic Games as gold medal threats, <\/span><b>Larkin <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the defending world champion in the 100 and 200 backstrokes, <\/span><b>le Clos <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the defending world champion and 2012 gold medalist in the 200 butterfly. However neither stood on top of the podium, with <\/span><b>Larkin <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">grabbing a silver and a bronze while <\/span><b>le Clos <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">captured two silver medals but was off the podium in the 200 butterfly. <\/span><b>Larkin <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/mitch-larkin-starts-search-for-new-coach-and-program-to-lead-him-to-2020\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">has been training with the St. Peters Western club in Brisbane<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> under <\/span><b>Michael Bohl<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the last seven years. WADA will begin think tank meetings next week on September 20th to generate proposals for improvement, acknowledging they were \u201cencouraged by this support.\u201d The organization hopes to have a \u201croadmap\u201d for the future of the anti-doping movement by November. Home-country hero <\/span><b>Daniel Dias <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was one of the highlights of the Games, as he became the most decorated Paralympic male swimmer in history with 24 total medals to his credit.
