Hit refresh for the latest coverage.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Breast&#8211;SB8<\/h3>\n<p>Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Oscar Salguero Galisteo<\/strong> claimed gold in the men&#8217;s 100 breaststroke SB8, stopping the clock at a 1:11.11.<\/p>\n<p>The silver medal was won by Italy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Federico Morlacchi<\/strong> and his time of 1:12.68, while the bronze went to Austria&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anderas Onea<\/strong> and his time of 1:14.44.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dalton Herendeen<\/strong> of the USA posted a fourth place finish of 1:14.71, followed by France&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Charles Rozoy<\/strong> (1:15.13).<\/p>\n<p>Chinese teammates\u00a0<strong>Zhao Xueming\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Xu Haijao\u00a0<\/strong>took sixth and seventh with times of 1:15.35 and 1:27.56 respectively.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Breast&#8211;SB8<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Katarina Roxon<\/strong> of Canada maintained her spot at the top of the leaderboard with a first place finish in the women&#8217;s 100 breast SB8, but not without some competition from Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Claire Cashmore.\u00a0<\/strong>Roxon delivered a 1:19.44, followed by Cashmore&#8217;s 1:20.60.<\/p>\n<p>The podium was rounded out by Ireland&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ellen Keane<\/strong> and her final time of 1:23.07.<\/p>\n<p>Poland&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Paulina Wozniak\u00a0<\/strong>took fourth with a time of 1:25.04, ahead of Portugal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Joana Calado&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>1:25.96.<\/p>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Xu Jialing<\/strong> (1:30.47), New Zealand&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nikita Howarth\u00a0<\/strong>(1:31.11), and Costa Rica&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Camila Haase Quiros\u00a0<\/strong>(1:41.17) finished sixth through eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 400 Free&#8211;S7<\/h3>\n<p>Finals of the men&#8217;s 400 free S7 was topped by the British duo of\u00a0<strong>Michael Jones<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Jonathan Fox<\/strong>. Jones posted a final time of 4:45.78 for gold, while Fox turned in a 4:49.00 for the silver.<\/p>\n<p>Norway&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andreas Skaar Bjornstad\u00a0<\/strong>finished third overall with a time of 4:53.61.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carlos Serrano Zarate\u00a0<\/strong>of Colombia took fourth with a 4:57.29, just ahead of Argentina&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Facundo Jose Arregui&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>4:57.40.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Marian Kvasnytsia\u00a0<\/strong>(4:57.54), Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Antoni Ponce Bertran\u00a0<\/strong>(5:09.43), and Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andriy Kozlenko<\/strong> (5:19.60) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 400 Free&#8211;S7<\/h3>\n<p>The USA highlighted finals of the women&#8217;s 400 free S7 claiming the top two spots in finals.\u00a0<strong>McKenzie Coan\u00a0<\/strong>delivered a sizzling performance of 5:05.77 for the gold, while\u00a0<strong>Cortney Jordan\u00a0<\/strong>took second with a 5:18.20.<\/p>\n<p>Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Susannah Rodgers<\/strong> claimed third with a 5:23.17 finish.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rebecca Dubber<\/strong> of New Zealand finished fourth overall with a 5:31.53, ahead of Germany&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Verena Schott&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>5:41.47.<\/p>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Huang Yajing\u00a0<\/strong>(5:44.72), Italy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Arianna Talamona\u00a0<\/strong>(5:48.37), and Israel&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Erel Halevi\u00a0<\/strong>(5:51.05) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Breast&#8211;SB14<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Aaron Moores\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Scott Quin\u00a0<\/strong>of Great Britain delivered a 1-2 finish in finals of the men&#8217;s 100 breaststroke SB14. Moores touched a shy .03 seconds ahead of Quin to win gold with a 1:06.67 over Quin&#8217;s 1:06.70.<\/p>\n<p>The Netherlands&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Marc Evers<\/strong> claimed the bronze medal with a final time of 1:07.64, followed by Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yasuhiro Tanaka\u00a0<\/strong>and his time of 1:07.82.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adam Ismael Wenham\u00a0<\/strong>of Norway took fifth with a time of 1:08.44.<\/p>\n<p>Korea&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yang Mook Jung<\/strong> (1:10.21), Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Taiga Hayashida\u00a0<\/strong>(1:11.26), and Argentina&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Elian Araya\u00a0<\/strong>(1:11.60) finished sixth through eighth respectively.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Breast&#8211;SB14<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Michelle Alonso Morales\u00a0<\/strong>of Spain delivered a 1:12.62 to claim a narrow victory in the women&#8217;s 100 breaststroke SB14 over Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Bethany Firth.\u00a0<\/strong>Firth settled for second and a time of 1:12.89.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Magda Toeters\u00a0<\/strong>of The Netherlands finished third overall with a time of 1:17.35, followed by teammate\u00a0<strong>Marlou van der Kulk\u00a0<\/strong>(1:20.15).<\/p>\n<p>Brazil&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Beatriz Carneiro\u00a0<\/strong>took fifth with a time of 1:21.66, folloewd by Belgium&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michelle Franssen&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>1:22.73.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pernilla Lindberg<\/strong> of Sweden and Indonesia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Syuci Indriani\u00a0<\/strong>finished seventh and eighth with times of 1:23.42 and 1:24.24.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Back&#8211;S12<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Sergii Klippert\u00a0<\/strong>of Ukraine soared ahead of the competition in finals of the men&#8217;s 100 back S12, touching the wall with a 59.77 finish.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Raman Salei<\/strong> of Azerbaijan took second with a 1:00.91, followed by the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tucker Dupree<\/strong> (1:01.04).<\/p>\n<p>Greece&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Charalampos Taiganidis\u00a0<\/strong>finished fourth overall with a 1:01.21, ahead of Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Stephen Clegg&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>1:02.06.<\/p>\n<p>Azerbaijan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Dzmitry Salei\u00a0<\/strong>(1:02.70), Brazil&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Thomaz Matera\u00a0<\/strong>(1:04.33), and Kazakhstan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anuar Akhmetov<\/strong> (1:04.33) finished sixth through eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Back&#8211;S12<\/h3>\n<p>Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hannah Russell<\/strong> smashed the previous World and Paralympic Records in the women&#8217;s 100 back S12, stopping the clock at a final time of 1:06.06. The previous record was a 1:07.99 set in 2012 by Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Oxana Savchenko<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yaryna Matlo<\/strong> of Ukraine took second overall with a final time of 1:11.97, while Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Maria Delgado Nadal<\/strong> finished third with a 1:12.73.<\/p>\n<p>Brazil&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Raquel Viel\u00a0<\/strong>finished fifth with a time of 1:15.24, ahead of Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Maryna Stabrovska&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>1:21.33.<\/p>\n<p>The Argentinian duo of\u00a0<strong>Ana Luz Pellitero\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Anabel Moro<\/strong> pegged sixth and seventh place with times of 1:21.73 and 1:22.79 respectively.<\/p>\n<p><strong>McClain Hermes<\/strong> of the USA was eighth with a 1:26.75.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Fly&#8211;S11<\/h3>\n<p>A tight race for first occurred in the men&#8217;s 100 fly between Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Israel Oliver\u00a0<\/strong>and Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Keiichi Kimura\u00a0<\/strong>finished a slim .19 seconds off. Oliver claimed first with a 1:02.24, just ahead of Kimura&#8217;s 1:02.43.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Oleksandr Mashchenko\u00a0<\/strong>took third with a final time of 1:03.38.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bradley Snyder\u00a0<\/strong>of the USA finished fourth overall with a time of 1:03.52, followed by China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lou Chenquan&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>1:06.99.<\/p>\n<p>Belarus&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Hryhory Zudzilau\u00a0<\/strong>(1:08.64), Cuba&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yunerki Ortega\u00a0<\/strong>(1:12.41), and Colombia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Leider Lemus Rojas\u00a0<\/strong>(1:13.87) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Breast&#8211;SB2<\/h3>\n<p>China swept the podium in finals of the men&#8217;s 50 breaststroke SB2.\u00a0<strong>Huang Wenpan<\/strong> once again took down the World and Paralympic Records, this time lowering it to a 50.65 after this morning&#8217;s 52.48.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Li Tingshen,\u00a0<\/strong>who originally broke the World and Paralympic Records during heat one of prelims, took second with a 51.78, while\u00a0<strong>Huang Chaowen<\/strong> was third with a 54.29.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Dmytro Vynohradets&#8217;\u00a0<\/strong>finished fourth overall with a 55.03, ahead of Thailand&#8217;s S<strong>omchai Doungkaew&#8217;s<\/strong>\u00a056.52.<\/p>\n<p>Mexico&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Armulfo Castorena\u00a0<\/strong>(57.70) and Greece&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ioannis Kostakis<\/strong> (1:07.48) were seventh and eighth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cristopher Tronco<\/strong> of Mexico was disqualified.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Breast&#8211;SB3<\/h3>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jin Zhipeng<\/strong> zipped past the previous World and Paralympic Record of 48.49 to finish with a time of 47.54. The previous record was set at the 2008 Beijing Games by Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tatyuki Suzuki<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miguel Luque<\/strong> of Spain finished second with a time of 49.47, followed closely by Italy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Efrem Morelli<\/strong> and his final time of 49.92.<\/p>\n<p>Former World Record holder Suzuki settled for fourth and a 49.96, while Canada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jonathan Dieleman\u00a0<\/strong>was fifth with a 50.21.<\/p>\n<p>The Netherlands&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Michael Schoenmaker<\/strong> (51.88), Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ahmed Kelly<\/strong> (51.90), and Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Vicente Gil\u00a0<\/strong>(56.56) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 50 Breast&#8211;SB3<\/h3>\n<p>China&#8217;s dominance in the sprint breaststroke events continued into the women&#8217;s 50 breaststroke SB3 where\u00a0<strong>Cheng Jiao\u00a0<\/strong>took home gold with a sizzling 58.28. Cheng was the only swimmer to post a sub-minute swim.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mariia Lafina<\/strong> of Ukraine delivered a 1:01.92 for second, while Mexico&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Patricia Valle<\/strong> finished third with a 1:02.40.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Olga Sviderska<\/strong> posted a 1:03.20 for fourth, followed by Brazil&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Patricia Pereira Dos Santos\u00a0<\/strong>(1:07.42) and Italy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Arjola Trimi\u00a0<\/strong>(1:07.69).<\/p>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Deng Yue<\/strong> (1:08.49) and Brazil&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Rildene Firmino\u00a0<\/strong>(1:08.59) took seventh and eighth respectively.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Free&#8211;S13<\/h3>\n<p>After setting a new Paralympic Record in the men&#8217;s 50 free S3 in prelims, Belarus&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Ihar Boki<\/strong> dashed his way to yet another Paralympic Record. Boki stopped the clock at a 23.44 to lower the record from this morning&#8217;s 23.73 swim, just missing his own World Record of 23.20 from 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The silver medal went to Brazil&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Carlos Farrenberg<\/strong> and his time of 24.17, while Uzbekistan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Muzaffar Tursunkhujaev<\/strong> earned bronze with a 24.21 finish.<\/p>\n<p>The Ukrainian duo of\u00a0<strong>Iaroslav Denysenko\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Oleksii Fedyna\u00a0<\/strong>finished a close .01 seconds apart with times of 24.41 and 24.42 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Braeden Jason<\/strong> (24.61), Uzbekistan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kirill Pankov<\/strong> (24.63), and Canada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nicolas Guy Turbide<\/strong> (25.52) finished sixth through eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 50 Free&#8211;S13<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Anna Stetsenko\u00a0<\/strong>of Ukraine powered to a new World and Paralympic Record in the women&#8217;s 50 free S13, stopping the clock at a 27.34. The former World Record was a 27.38 that had stood since 1996 when Germany&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yvonne Hopf\u00a0<\/strong>set it at the 1996 Atlanta Paralympic Games.<\/p>\n<p>Uzbekistan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Muslima Odilova\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Shokhsanamkhon Toshpulatova<\/strong> delivered a 2-3 finish for the silver and bronze. Odilova posted a 28.00 over Toshpulatova&#8217;s 28.02.<\/p>\n<p>Fellow Uzbekistan teammate\u00a0<strong>Fotimakhon Amilova\u00a0<\/strong>claimed fourth with a time of 28.21, while Poland&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Joanna Mendak\u00a0<\/strong>was fifth with a 28.35.<\/p>\n<p>The USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Rebecca Meyers\u00a0<\/strong>(25.58), Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jenna Jones<\/strong> (28.77), and Italy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alessia Berra\u00a0<\/strong>(29.01) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Everything you need to follow along live with day seven finals of the 2016 Paralympic Games.
