Hit refresh for all the latest coverage.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 400 Free&#8211;S13<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Ihar Boki\u00a0<\/strong>of Belarus maintained his spot atop the leaderboard in finals of the men&#8217;s 400 free, stopping the clock at a 3:55.62 to set a new Paralympic Record.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Iaroslav Denysenko<\/strong> turned in a 3:58.78 for second, while Uzbekistan&#8217;s <strong>Dmitriy Horlin<\/strong> was third with a 4:06.63.<\/p>\n<p>Fellow Ukrainian <strong>Danylo Chufarov\u00a0<\/strong>finished fourth overall with a 4:10.92, followed by the Australian duo of\u00a0<strong>Braedan Jason\u00a0<\/strong>(4:12.95) and\u00a0<strong>Jacob Templeton\u00a0<\/strong>(4:15.86).<\/p>\n<p>Azerbaijan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Raman Salei<\/strong> took seventh with a 4:19.34, ahead of Brazil&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Thomaz Matera\u00a0<\/strong>(4:19.62).<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 400 Free&#8211;S13<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Rebecca Meyers<\/strong> of the USA bypassed the World and Paralympic Records in finals of the women&#8217;s 400 free, setting the bar at a 4:19.59. The previous record of 4:28.64 was set in 2008 by Canada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Valerie Grand&#8217;Maison.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Also finishing underneath the previous World Record was\u00a0<strong>Anna Stetsenko<\/strong> of Ukraine with a second place finish of 4:24.18. Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ariadna Edo Beltran<\/strong> rounded out the top three with a final time of 4:43.49.<\/p>\n<p>Germany&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Naomi Maike Schnittger<\/strong> took fourth with a 4:43.57, followed by Italy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alessia Berra&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>4:44.52.<\/p>\n<p>Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Abby Kane<\/strong> (4:49.27), Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katja Dedekind\u00a0<\/strong>(4:50.43), and Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Marta Maria Gomez Battelli\u00a0<\/strong>(4:50.43) finished sixth through eighth respectively.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 150 IM&#8211;SM4<\/h3>\n<p>New Zealand&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Cameron Leslie<\/strong> finished the men&#8217;s 150 IM in World and Paralympic Record time with a final 2:23.12. Leslie had previously set the two records at a 2:25.98 at the 2012 London Paralympic Games.<\/p>\n<p>Silver went to China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jin Zhipeng<\/strong> and his final time of 2:26.91, while the bronze was picked up by Denmark&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jonas Larsen&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>2:33.67.<\/p>\n<p>Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Takayuki Suzuki\u00a0<\/strong>posted a final time of 2:38.71 for fourth, just ahead of Italy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Efrem Morelli\u00a0<\/strong>and his time of 2:43.75.<\/p>\n<p>Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Miguel Luque\u00a0<\/strong>(2:45.34), the Czech Republic&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jan Povysil\u00a0<\/strong>(2:45.79), and Mexico&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Gustavo Sanchez Martinez\u00a0<\/strong>(2:54.95) were sixth through eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 150 IM&#8211;SM4<\/h3>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Cheng Jiao\u00a0<\/strong>claimed first in finals of the women&#8217;s 150-meter IM with a time of 2:49.69, finishing just off her own World and Paralympic Record of 2:47.57.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Olga Sviderska\u00a0<\/strong>of Ukraine touched with a time of 2:54.14 for second, while third went to China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Deng Yue&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>2:57.26.<\/p>\n<p>Mexico&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nely Miranda Herrera\u00a0<\/strong>finished fourth with a time of 2:57.76, just ahead of Italy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Arjola Trimi\u00a0<\/strong>and her time of 2:57.91.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mariia Lafina<\/strong> was sixth with a time of 3:01.30, followed by Kazakhstan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zulfiya Gabidullina&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>3:25.30.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Karolina Hamer\u00a0<\/strong>of Poland was disqualified.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Free&#8211;S11<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Bradley Snyder\u00a0<\/strong>of the USA added to his medal collection in the men&#8217;s 50 free finals by adding another gold. Snyder turned in a final time of 25.57 for first, finishing only .30 seconds off the World Record of 25.27.<\/p>\n<p>Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Keiichi Kimura<\/strong> took second with a time of 26.52, followed by China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yang Bozun\u00a0<\/strong>and his time of 26.72.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Oleksandr Mashchenko\u00a0<\/strong>finished fourth overall with a 26.97, followed by Belarus&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Hryhory Zudzilau&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>27.02.<\/p>\n<p>South Africa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hendrii Herbst<\/strong> was sixth with a 27.11, while seventh went to the Czech Republic&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Miroslav Smrcka&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>28.08.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Viktor Smyrnov<\/strong> of Ukraine was disqualified.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 50 Free&#8211;S11<\/h3>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Li Guizhi\u00a0<\/strong>edged past the existing World and Paralympic Record of 30.94 in finals of the women&#8217;s 50 free with a 30.73. The previous record was set in 2012 by Italy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Cecilia Camellini.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Maja Reichard\u00a0<\/strong>of Sweden finished second overall with a close 30.76, while a tie occurred for bronze between Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Maryna Piddubna\u00a0<\/strong>and the Netherlands&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Liesette Bruinsma<\/strong>. The pair delivered matching times of 31.23.<\/p>\n<p>The previous World Record holder, Camellini, finished fifth overall with a 31.71, while New Zealand&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mary Fisher\u00a0<\/strong>was sixth with a close 31.80.<\/p>\n<p>Seventh and eighth went to China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Xie Qing\u00a0<\/strong>(32.00) and\u00a0<strong>Cai Liwen\u00a0<\/strong>(32.31).<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Fly&#8211;S10<\/h3>\n<p>Ukrainian teammates\u00a0<strong>Denys Dubrov\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Maksym Krypak\u00a0<\/strong>continued to lead the competition in finals of the men&#8217;s 100 fly, touching first and second respectively. Dubrov once again lowered the World and Paralympic Records, this time to a sizzling 54.71 over Krypak&#8217;s 54.90.<\/p>\n<p>Hometown favorite\u00a0<strong>Andre Brasil<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>of Brazil earned the bronze medal with a 56.50 finish.<\/p>\n<p>The Canadian duo of\u00a0<strong>Alec Elliot\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Nathan Stein\u00a0<\/strong>finished fourth and fifth with times of 58.35 and 58.64 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>David Levecq\u00a0<\/strong>(59.03), Italy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Riccardo Menciotti\u00a0<\/strong>(59.65), and South Africa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Achmat Hassiem\u00a0<\/strong>(1:00.96) completed the final.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Fly&#8211;S10<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Sophie Pascoe<\/strong> of New Zealand earned her third gold medal of the 2016 Paralympic Games in finals of the women&#8217;s 100 fly. Pascoe finished with a time of 1:02.65 to set a new Paralympic Record and flirt with her own World Record of 1:02.60. With this gold medal Pascoe now owns a total of 14 Paralympic medals and is considered to be New Zealand&#8217;s most successful Paralympic swimmer.<\/p>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Chen Yi\u00a0<\/strong>took second overall with a 1:06.92, followed by Poland&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Oliwia Jablonska&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>1:08.77.<\/p>\n<p>Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Isabel Yinghua Hernandez Santos\u00a0<\/strong>finished fourth overall with a 1:09.23, just ahead of Canada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Samantha Ryan<\/strong> and her time of 1:09.73.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Paige Leonhardt\u00a0<\/strong>(1:10.55), Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alice Tai\u00a0<\/strong>(1:11.92), and the Netherlands&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Chantalle Zuderveld\u00a0<\/strong>(1:13.56) finished sixth through eighth respectively.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Free&#8211;S9<\/h3>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Timothy Disken\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Brenden Hall<\/strong> turned in the only two sub-57 second times in finals of the men&#8217;s 100 free. Disken claimed first with a 56.32, while teammate Hall finished second with a 56.95.<\/p>\n<p>Hungary&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tamas Toth<\/strong> earned the bronze medal wit ha time of 57.20, just ahead of Italy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Federico Morlacchi&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>57.28.<\/p>\n<p>Brazil&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ruiter Silva\u00a0<\/strong>(57.44), Hungary&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tamas Sors\u00a0<\/strong>(57.49), Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jose Antonio Mari Alcaraz\u00a0<\/strong>(57.62), and Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Takuro Yamada\u00a0<\/strong>(57.69) rounded out the finalists.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Free&#8211;S9<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Michelle Konkoly\u00a0<\/strong>of the USA sprinted past the World and Paralympic Records in finals of the women&#8217;s 100 free. Konkoly delivered a final time of 1:00.91 to overturn the previous World Record of 1:01.44 set in 2008 by South Africa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Natalie du Toit.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sarai Gascon\u00a0<\/strong>battled some tough competition from Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ellie Cole<\/strong> for the silver medal. Gascon finished second overall with a 1:02.81 over Cole&#8217;s 1:02.93.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nuria Marques Soto\u00a0<\/strong>of Spain claimed fourth overall with a 1:03.94, followed by China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Xu Jialing&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>1:04.32.<\/p>\n<p>The Australian duo of\u00a0<strong>Emily Beecroft\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Ashleigh McConnell\u00a0<\/strong>tied for sixth after the two teammates delivered matching times of 1:05.19.<\/p>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lin Ping<\/strong> took eighth overall with a 1:06.18.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 IM&#8211;SM6<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Sascha Kindred<\/strong> of Great Britain delivered a new World and Paralympic Record in finals of the men&#8217;s 200 IM. Kindred stopped the clock at a 2:38.47 to edge past the previous record of 2:38.62 set in 2012 at the London Paralympic Games by\u00a0<strong>Xu Qing<\/strong> of China.<\/p>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jia Hongguang\u00a0<\/strong>took second with a time of 2:39.47, just ahead of Brazil&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Talisson Glock&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>2:41.39.<\/p>\n<p>The Chinese duo of\u00a0<strong>Xu Qing<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Yang Hong\u00a0<\/strong>finished fourth and fifth with times of 2:42.57 and 2:42.92 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Iaroslav Semenenko\u00a0<\/strong>was sixth with a 2:54.74, while seventh went to Israel&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yoav Valinsky\u00a0<\/strong>and his time of 2:59.08.<\/p>\n<p>Colombia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nelson Crispin Corzo\u00a0<\/strong>was disqualified.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 IM&#8211;SM6<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Eleanor Simmonds<\/strong> of Great Britain continued the record breaking streak with new World and Paralympic Records in the women&#8217;s 200 IM. Simmonds turned in a final time of 2:59.81 to obliterate her own World Record of 3:05.39 that she set at the 2012 London Paralympic Games.<\/p>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Song Lingling\u00a0<\/strong>also finished underneath the previous World Record, stopping the clock at a 3:03.19 for second, while bronze was claimed by Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tiffany Thomas Kane<\/strong> and her time of 3:09.78.<\/p>\n<p>Germany&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Verena Schott<\/strong> took fourth with a time of 3:10.44, followed by China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lu Dong&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>3:13.47.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sophia Elizabeth Herzog<\/strong> of the USA was a close sixth with a time of 3:13.57, just ahead of Ireland&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nicole Turner<\/strong> (3:18.18).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yelyzaveta Mereshko<\/strong> of Ukraine was disqualified.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Fly&#8211;S7<\/h3>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Pan Shiyun\u00a0<\/strong>successfully lowered his own World and Parlaympic Records during finals of the 50 fly. Pan finished with a time of 28.41 to sneak past his former record of 29.49 set in 2012 at the London Paralympic Games.<\/p>\n<p>Also finishing underneath the former World Record was Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ievgenii Bogodaiko<\/strong> with a time of 29.35, while China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Wang Jingang<\/strong> claimed the bronze medal with a 30.07.<\/p>\n<p>Colombia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Carlos Serrano Zarate\u00a0<\/strong>took fourth with a time of 31.07, followed by close competition from Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Matthew Levy\u00a0<\/strong>(31.32) and Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andriy Kozlenko\u00a0<\/strong>(31.33).<\/p>\n<p>Ukrainian teammate\u00a0<strong>Marian Kvasnytsia\u00a0<\/strong>was seventh overall with a 32.27 finish, ahead of Germany&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tobias Pollap&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>32.91.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 50 Fly&#8211;S7<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Susannah Rodgers<\/strong> of Great Britain claimed gold in finals of the women&#8217;s 50 fly with a sizzling 35.07.<\/p>\n<p>The USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Cortney Jordan<\/strong> delivered a time of 35.46 for the silver medal, while New Zealand&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nikita Howarth<\/strong> finished third with a 35.97.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sarah Mehain<\/strong> of Canada touched fourth with a 36.46, followed by Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Judit Rolo Marichal\u00a0<\/strong>(37.78) and the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>McKenzie Coan\u00a0<\/strong>(37.87).<\/p>\n<p>Canada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tess Routliffe\u00a0<\/strong>was seventh with a time of 39.17, ahead of Brazil&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Veronica Almeida&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>39.51.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Free&#8211;S5<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Daniel Dias\u00a0<\/strong>of Brazil claimed the gold medal in finals of the men&#8217;s 50 free. The current World Record holder in the event delivered a final time of 32.78 to finish ahead of the competition.<\/p>\n<p>The silver medal went to Vietnam&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Thanh Tung Vo<\/strong> and his time of 33.94, while the USA&#8217;s Roy Perkins finished third with a 34.42.<\/p>\n<p>Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sebastian Rodriguez<\/strong> took fourth overall with a 34.62, ahead of Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andrew Mullen&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>34.87.<\/p>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>He Shiwei<\/strong> (35.60), Brazil&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Clodaldo Silva\u00a0<\/strong>(36.27), and Italy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Giovanni Sciaccaluga<\/strong> (36.85) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 50 Free&#8211;S5<\/h3>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zhang Li\u00a0<\/strong>delivered the top time of the women&#8217;s 50 free, stopping the clock at a 36.87.
