Montana Lloyd\u00a0<\/strong>has given her verbal commitment to the University of Houston.<\/p>\n

Lloyd told\u00a0Swimming World<\/em>,<\/p>\n

“I knew from the second I stepped on campus that this is where I belonged. The atmosphere of the team is something really special and the college itself is somewhere I can see myself improving and gaining knowledge not only in the classroom, but in the pool! I’m so excited to be apart of the Cougar family! GO COOGS!”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Lloyd swims for Desert Storm Swimming. She is a backstroker and IMer.<\/p>\n

Her lifetime best times are:<\/p>\n

50 Backstroke 26.90<\/p>\n

100 Backstroke 56.03<\/p>\n

200 Backstroke 2:00.79<\/p>\n

200 IM 2:04.84<\/p>\n

400 IM 4:28.01<\/p>\n

Houston finished third at the 2016 American Athletic Conference Championship<\/a>. Lloyd would have been a B finalist in both backstrokes and the 200 IM at last year’s meet.\u00a0Eleanna Koutsouveli\u00a0<\/strong>won the 100 backstroke with a 54.32 in her freshman year. The then junior will be an immediate training partner for Lloyd when she arrives in Texas next fall.<\/p>\n

Lloyd is the second swimmer to commit to the Cougars after Mykenzie Leehy<\/strong><\/a> gave her verbal last week. Leehy is set to make an impact on the freestyle relays.<\/p>\n
