Tampa, Florida- Friday, September 9, 2016- Coach Banks<\/strong> returns to Tampa after seven years in Ireland as the National Performance Director and 3-time Olympic Gold Medalist Brooke Bennett<\/strong> join together again.<\/p>\n

As Pipeline continues to grow, owner\/age-group coach Rene Piper<\/strong> is beyond thrilled to add a dynamic trio of new coaches.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt our initial meeting, I knew Coach Banks believes in our Pipeline mission statement which is to shape athletes from start to finish to achieve their end goals. We coach with the bigger picture in mind, which is exactly why we wanted to work with Peter as soon as the Olympics were over. For Brooke and Banks to stand on deck together again, now both as coaches, brings much excitement for the future of Pipeline Swimming. Our program will only get better with the addition of this world-renowned Swimmer\/Coach duo. I am so excited to learn from the best as we continue to teach our young and enthusiastic team of coaches!\u201d ~ Coach Rene Piper<\/p>\n

\u201cReturning to the States, having coached in the United States since 1989 and being in Europe for the last 7 years has given me a great insight into the various ways of coaching around the world. I am excited to get back on the deck and share my learnings and passion for developing young swimmers to achieve and reach their highest potential. Coming back to work with Brooke and Pipeline swimming will be fun; as I know as an athlete the passion we shared for swimming and now working together on the deck the possibilities are endless with the Pipeline coaching staff.\u201d ~ Coach Peter Banks- high performance coach\/clinician<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the past year I have been super excited with how the Brooke Bennett Swim Academy has taken off. As always there are the jitters to starting your own business but my passion to teach children water safety overpowers all doubt. In this time I have been able to put together a great team of instructors that follow in my same passion. But I can\u2019t stop there; \u201cif your dreams don\u2019t scare you they aren\u2019t big enough!\u201d It has been a great opportunity to partner with Pipeline Swimming and help in the return of my long-time coach Peter Banks back to the states. Given this chance to stand alongside my Olympic coach is simply an amazing and unbelievable opportunity. I am thrilled and honored for this chance to continue my passion to help develop age-group and high performance athletes with Pipeline and this amazing staff. I have no doubt that Brooke Bennett Swim Academy will continue to grow under newly placed manager Emily Kring.\u201d ~ Coach Brooke Bennett- stroke development\/mind-over-matter<\/p>\n

Along with adding the highly qualified swim coaches to the Pipeline staff we are continuing the process to develop a well-rounded swimmer-athlete by hiring strength and condition coach Raphael Ruiz. Ruiz has worked with numerous high profiled athletes; NFL\u2019s Deion Sanders, MLB\u2019s Gary Shef\ufb01eld, boxing\u2019s Antonio Tarver & many Olympic swimmers including most recently gearing up Swim MAC athletes for Olympic Trials. Coach Ruiz will develop his own staff of certified strength and condition coaches that will work with all levels of swimmers at Pipeline Swimming.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the constant pursuit of preparing athletic excellence, there are moments which are few and far between that very talented individuals with like-minded philosophical approaches happen into starry alignments that make for limitless potential. Putting a team together with the likes of world-renown Peter Banks, alongside 3x Olympic gold medalist Brooke Bennett, nationally-recognized coach Rene Piper and myself is extremely exciting. Matching innovative with experience, blending passionate scientific with anecdotal results and mixing purposeful form with highly enabled function is a recipe for athletic excellence that exists only in very rare instances. This is what having our dream team of super-skilled coach\u2019s offers.\u201d ~ Head strength and condition Coach Raphael Ruiz.<\/p>\n

The Oahu North Shore Pipeline in Hawaii is a legendary surf mecca attracting the best surfers in the world! The massive waves host the Super Bowl of wave riding. Our new team name depicts the Pipeline of swimming \u2014 everyone catching the wave at a different time, with champions riding it to the very end.<\/p>\n

Anyone who has experienced the Pipeline knows it’s an exciting ride \u2014 from START to FINISH!<\/p>\n
