University of Florida head coach\u00a0Gregg Troy<\/strong> sat down with\u00a0Swimming World’s\u00a0<\/em>David Rieder<\/strong> at the ASCA World Clinic in Ft. Lauderdale to discuss the performances of the Olympic athletes he trained in the lead-up to Rio.<\/p>\n

Troy commented in particular on\u00a0Caeleb Dressel<\/strong>, who earned a pair of relay golds in Rio, as well as women’s team captain\u00a0Elizabeth Beisel<\/strong>, and he also offered commentary on why\u00a0Conor Dwyer<\/strong> had such a successful second Olympic Games.<\/p>\n

Troy was not on the coaching staff for these Games after serving as the men’s head coach four years ago in London, and he compared the experience of coaching a Games versus watching from home, and he also discussed beginning the new quad with his college team, that now includes Dressel and freshman\u00a0Maxime Rooney<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
