He also will be banned from the 2017 world swimming championships in July.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Christine Brennan (@cbrennansports) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cbrennansports\/status\/773647717427974144\">September 7, 2016<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/olympics\/rio-2016\/2016\/09\/07\/olympian-ryan-lochte-suspended-world-championships-rio-summer-games-usoc\/89979684\/\" target=\"_blank\">the report<\/a>, USA TODAY noted that the suspensions for the other three swimmers at the gas station that night (<strong>Jimmy Feigen<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Gunnar Bentz\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Jack Conger<\/strong>) will be shorter.<\/p>\n<p>Near the end of the Games, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/usoc-and-usa-swimming-release-statements-on-ryan-lochte-mess\/\">USA Swimming<\/a> had promised to review the matter in context of the Code of Conduct and the US Olympic Committee said it would look into the situation after returning to the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Lochte&#8217;s sponsors including Speedo\u00a0and Ralph Lauren\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ryan-lochte-loses-endorsements-with-syneron-candela-and-airweave-issues-apology-to-speedo\/\">dropped him<\/a>\u00a0shortly after the incident.\u00a0Since then, he has started on\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ryan-lochte-to-be-contestant-on-23rd-season-of-dancing-with-the-stars\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dancing With The Stars<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em>The 32 year old knew that suspensions were a possibility when he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ryan-lochte-announces-plans-for-tokyo-even-with-potential-suspensions-looming\/\" target=\"_blank\">spoke with <em>TMZ<\/em><\/a> and revealed that regardless of the consequences he planned to train for the 2020 Games.<\/p>\n<p><em>Swimming World<\/em> reached out to USA Swimming for comment, but representatives from the governing body could not confirm the report. Lochte&#8217;s coach,\u00a0<strong>David Marsh<\/strong>, spoke Wednesday night at the ASCA World Clinic in Ft.
