The winner of the first cluster of the 2016 FINA World Cup, <\/span><b>Morozov <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">topped the leaderboard and money list courtesy of his two world records during the first three stops.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last week, the Russian swimmer just moved past the previous world record held by Germany\u2019s <\/span><b>Markus Diebler. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Touching in 50.60 during the first stop of the cluster in Paris, <\/span><b>Morozov <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">slid under <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/vladimir-morozov-edges-past-100-im-world-record-at-2016-fina-world-cup-paris\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the old record by six one-hundredths of a second<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to claim it for his own and earn a $10,000 bonus. Then in Berlin this week <\/span><b>Morozov <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">lowered the record again, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/vladimir-morozov-lowers-100-im-sc-world-record-at-2016-fina-world-cup-berlin\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">touching in 50.30 to take three more tenths off<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and give him the top two performances ever in the event. That also earned <\/span><b>Morozov <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">another $10,000 check and a bigger bump up in the World Cup leaderboard. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Morozov <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">has had a rough summer, coming off allegations of doping following the release of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/what-the-independent-investigation-into-russias-systematic-doping-program-means-to-swimming\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">McLaren Report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/russias-medal-hopes-could-suffer-with-efimova-morozov-5-others-banned-from-rio\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a subsequent ban from the 2016 Rio Olympic Games<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by the International Olympic Committee just weeks before the start of competition. <\/span><b>Morozov <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was ultimately <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/lobintsev-morozov-cleared-for-competition-at-rio-olympics-by-ioc-and-cas\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cleared to compete just days before the start of the meet<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, where he finished 9th in the 100 freestyle
