Ustinova\u00a0<\/strong>of Russia was disqualified.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Free:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Pavel\u00a0Yankovich\u00a0<\/strong>of Belarus powered ahead of the competition in the men&#8217;s 50 free to first with a time of 23.13.<\/p>\n<p>The Australian duo of\u00a0<strong>Mitch Larkin\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Bobby Hurley\u00a0<\/strong>completed the podium with second and third place showings of 23.34 and 23.40 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Hurley was followed into the wall by the Russian trio of\u00a0<strong>Andrei Shabasov<\/strong> (23.57),\u00a0<strong>Vladimir Morozov<\/strong> (23.67), and\u00a0<strong>Kliment Kolesnikov<\/strong> (23.79).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nelson Silva Junior<\/strong> of Brazil grabbed seventh with a 24.18, followed by Germany&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Marek Ulrich&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>24.27.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Fly:<\/h3>\n<p>Hungary&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zsuzsanna Jakabos\u00a0<\/strong>picked up her first win of the day with a time of 2:06.44 in the women&#8217;s 200 fly, edging past China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Wang Siqi\u00a0<\/strong>and her early lead. Wang slipped to second with a time of 2:07.12.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kin Lok Chan<\/strong> of Hong Kong delivered a 2:09.17 for third, while\u00a0<strong>Elena Sudneva<\/strong> (2:16.63) and\u00a0<strong>Uliana Vataeva<\/strong> (2:16.80) were fourth and fifth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Valentina Balahonceva\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed seventh with a 2:17.29, while seventh went to\u00a0<strong>Ekaterina Shapanikova<\/strong> (2:22.08).<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 IM:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Philip Heintz<\/strong> of Germany led the field from start to finish of the men&#8217;s 200 IM posting a win of 1:52.93.<\/p>\n<p>Japan&#8217;s <strong>Hiromasa Fujimori\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed second with a time of 1:54.14, while Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kirill Prigoda<\/strong> rounded out the podium with a final time of 1:54.48.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marco Koch<\/strong> of Germany finished a close fourth with a time of 1:54.61, followed by\u00a0<strong>Dmitrii Gorbunov&#8217;s<\/strong> 1:58.38.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ivan Pavlov\u00a0<\/strong>took sixth in finals with a time of 1:58.95, ahead of\u00a0<strong>Sergei Kashperskii&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>1:59.14.<\/p>\n<p>Picking up eighth was <strong>Maksim\u00a0<\/strong><b>Stupin\u00a0<\/b>with a 2:03.41.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 400 Free:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> of Hungary battled China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Shao Yiwen<\/strong> for the title in the women&#8217;s 400 free, gaining the lead in the final 100 meters of the race. Hosszu turned in a final time of 4:01.20 over Shao&#8217;s 4:02.32.<\/p>\n<p>Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anastasiia Kirpichnikova<\/strong> picked up third with a time of 4:04.29, followed by Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hannah Miley<\/strong> and her time of 4:05.49.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zsuzsanna Jakabos<\/strong> of Hungary finished fifth with a time of 4:07.02, ahead of China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Shen Junjie&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>4:12.69.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yulia Snoz<\/strong> (4:13.41) and\u00a0<strong>Kira Volodina<\/strong> (4:16.16) grabbed seventh and eighth respectively.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Free:<\/h3>\n<p>Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Vladimir Morozov<\/strong> dashed ahead of the competition in finals of the 50 free, posting the only sub-21 second swim at a 20.98.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chad le Clos<\/strong> of South Africa grabbed second with a close time of 21.05, followed by Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andrii Govorov<\/strong> and his 21.29.<\/p>\n<p>Hungary&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Maksim Lobanovskii<\/strong> finished fourth overall with a time of 21.65, just ahead of China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Guo Wei&#8217;s<\/strong> 21.88.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alexander Kliukin<\/strong> picked up sixth with a 21.97, while seventh was picked up the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michael Andrew<\/strong> with his time of 22.03.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Andrii Khloptsov<\/strong> of Ukraine was eighth with a 22.16.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Breast:<\/h3>\n<p>Despite an early lead from the current Olympic champion\u00a0<strong>Rie Kaneto<\/strong>, the win in the women&#8217;s 200 breast final was claimed by Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yulia Efimova<\/strong>. Efimova surged ahead in the final 100 meters to post a first place finish of 2:!6.54, while Kaneto slipped to second with a 2:17.62.<\/p>\n<p>Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Miho Takahashi<\/strong> maintained her spot at third throughout the race, posting a third place finish of 2:19.31 for the bronze.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Breeja Larson<\/strong> of the USA grabbed fourth with a 2:21.03, followed by Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Satomi Suzuki&#8217;s<\/strong> 2:26.48.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daria Chikunova<\/strong> picked up sixth with a 2:29.51, just ahead of\u00a0<strong>Maria Temnikova&#8217;s<\/strong> 2:30.40.<\/p>\n<p>France&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Magali Mouton<\/strong> was eighth with a time of 2:35.08.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 IM:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Katinka Hosszu&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>third gold of the day came in the women&#8217;s 100 IM, stopping the clock at a 57.76.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emily Seebohm\u00a0<\/strong>finished second with a 59.01, followed closely by the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katie Meili<\/strong> who stopped the clock at a 59.51.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daria Kartashova<\/strong> of Russia grabbed fourth with a 1:01.45, just ahead of\u00a0<strong>Irina Shvaeva&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>1:01.61.<\/p>\n<p>Hong Kong&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kin Lok Chan<\/strong> picked up sixth with a time of 1:03.13, while\u00a0<strong>Nadezhda Baranik<\/strong> was seventh with a 1:04.10.<\/p>\n<p>Eighth fell to the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Breeja Larson<\/strong> and her time of 1:05.03.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Back:<\/h3>\n<p>The men&#8217;s 200 back was dominated by the Australian duo of\u00a0<strong>Mitch Larkin<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Bobby Hurley<\/strong>.
