Morozov touched in a time of 46.36 to win over Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Adam Barrett<\/strong> and his time of 46.99.<\/p>\n<p>Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Shinri Shioura\u00a0<\/strong>touched third with a 47.00, while Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andrii Govorov<\/strong> finished fourth overall with a 47.70.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jack Gerrard<\/strong> of Australia finished close behind with a 47.89, followed by a close race between\u00a0<strong>Vladislav Grinev<\/strong> (48.36) and Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Evgeny Lagunov<\/strong> (48.38).<\/p>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hao Yun<\/strong> rounded out the top eight with a 48.86.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Free:<\/h3>\n<p>The women&#8217;s 200 free was led by the Hungarian duo of\u00a0<strong>Katinka Hosszu\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Zsuzsanna Jakabos<\/strong>. Hosszu pegged her first win of the Moscow stop with a 1:54.40, just ahead of Jakabos&#8217; 1:55.46.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daria K. Ustinova<\/strong> of Russia slipped to third with a final time of 1:56.63.<\/p>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Shao Yiwen<\/strong> and Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anastasiia Kirpichnikova<\/strong> kept a tight race for fourth and fifth, finishing with times of 1:57.66 and 1:57.75 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Sixth place was picked up by\u00a0<strong>Irina Prikhodko<\/strong> and her time of 1:58.41.<\/p>\n<p>Also entered in the race was\u00a0<strong>Daria S. Ustinova<\/strong>, also of Russia, who finished seventh with a time of 1:58.86, while China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Shen Junjie<\/strong> was eighth with a 2:00.27.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Breast:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cameron van der Burgh<\/strong> of South Africa continued to dominate the sprint breaststroke events with a 25.88 showing in finals of the men&#8217;s 50 breast.<\/p>\n<p>Picking up second was Brazil&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Felipe Lima<\/strong> with a time of 26.24, followed closely by Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Krill Prigoda&#8217;s<\/strong> 26.30.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Igor Golovin<\/strong> finished fourth overall with a 26.69, just ahead of\u00a0<strong>Oleg Kostin&#8217;s<\/strong> 26.77.<\/p>\n<p>The USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michael Andrew\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed sixth with a time of 26.92, while\u00a0<strong>Sergei Geibel\u00a0<\/strong>finished seventh with a 27.19.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aleksandr Triznov<\/strong> completed the top eight with a 27.45.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Breast:<\/h3>\n<p>With no\u00a0<strong>Alia Atkinson\u00a0<\/strong>in the mix of the women&#8217;s 100 breaststroke, the doors were left wide open for Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yulia Efimova\u00a0<\/strong>to pick up the win. Efimova delivered a 1:02.91, the only sub-1:03 time of the morning, to pick up her first win of the 2016 FINA\/airweave World Cup series.<\/p>\n<p>The USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katie Meili<\/strong> finished second overall with a time of 1:03.36, while\u00a0<strong>Rie Kaneto<\/strong> of Japan rounded out the podium with a time of 1:05.47.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Breeja Larson<\/strong> of the USA grabbed fourth with a 1:05.70, followed by Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Satomi Suzuki&#8217;s<\/strong> 1:06.82.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daria Chikunova<\/strong> (1:08.35),\u00a0<strong>Anna Ganus<\/strong> (1:09.52), and\u00a0<strong>Natalia Vinokurenkova<\/strong> (1:09.66) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Fly:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Jeanette Ottesen\u00a0<\/strong>of Denmark flew ahead of the competition in finals of the women&#8217;s 100 fly, giving the World Cup record a scare as she finished with a 55.80. The World Cup record currently sits at a 55.30 set in 2013 by\u00a0<strong>Alicia Coutts.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> of Hungary was second overall with a 57.08, while\u00a0<strong>Natalia Lovtcova<\/strong> grabbed third with a 58.59.<\/p>\n<p>Hong Kong&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kin Lok Chan<\/strong> picked up a close fourth with a final time of 58.69, followed by\u00a0<strong>Daria\u00a0<\/strong><b>Tcvetkova&#8217;s\u00a0<\/b>58.90.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anastastia Lyzeva<\/strong> grabbed sixth with a time of 59.52, just ahead of\u00a0<strong>Daria Kartashova&#8217;s<\/strong> (59.66) and\u00a0<strong>Ekaterina Shapinkova&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>(59.97).<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Back:<\/h3>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mitch Larkin<\/strong> surged to first in the men&#8217;s 100 back after a dynamic second 50-meters that moved him up from third. Larkin stopped the clock at a 49.62 for his first win of the Moscow stop.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pavel Sankovich\u00a0<\/strong>of Belarus led a tight race for the remaining two podium spots, turning in a 50.29 for second. Close on his heels was Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Bobby Hurley<\/strong> with a time of 50.32 for third.<\/p>\n<p>Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Stanislav Donetc<\/strong> picked up fourth with a time of 50.45, followed by fellow Russian\u00a0<strong>Kliment Kolesnikov&#8217;s<\/strong> 51.61.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nelson Silva Junior<\/strong> of Brazil turned in a 52.98 for sixth, while seventh went to Germany&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Marek Ulrich<\/strong> and his time of 53.14.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dmitry Lapshin\u00a0<\/strong>was eighth overall with a 53.21.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 50 Back:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Daryna Zevina<\/strong> of Ukraine led the women&#8217;s 50 back final from start to finish, kickstarting the race with a swift reaction time of .59. Zevina powered to a final time of 26.25 for the gold.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> picked up her second silver of the day with a 26.51, followed closely by Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emily Seebohm<\/strong> and her 26.60.<\/p>\n<p>The Russian duo of\u00a0<strong>Mariia Kameneva<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Daria Ustinova\u00a0<\/strong>turned in similar times of 27.48 and 27.51 to finish fourth and fifth respectively.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alexandra Papusha<\/strong> finished sixth with a time of 28.01, followed closely by Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Polina Egorova&#8217;s<\/strong>28.06.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yulia Ruchina<\/strong> grabbed eighth with a 29.18.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Fly:<\/h3>\n<p>South Africa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Chad le Clos<\/strong> flirted with a sub-1:49 swim in finals of the men&#8217;s 200 fly, clocking a 1:49.10 to lead the field by more than three seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Germany&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Philip Heintz<\/strong> grabbed a close second over China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hao Yun<\/strong> with a time of 1:52.52. Hao finished third with a 1:52.61.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nic Brown\u00a0<\/strong>of Australia posted a 1:55.27 for fourth overall, followed by\u00a0<strong>Nikolay Skvortsov&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>1:55.32.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vladimir Kudryashov<\/strong> picked up sixth with a 1:56.91, while the Russian duo of\u00a0<strong>Aleksandr Pribytok<\/strong> (1:57.52) and\u00a0<strong>Roman Shevliakov<\/strong> (1:58.97) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 IM:<\/h3>\n<p>Not long after finishing second in the women&#8217;s 50 back,\u00a0<strong>Katinka Hosszu\u00a0<\/strong>of Hungary was back in the water for one of her signature events: the women&#8217;s 200 IM. Hosszu clocked a 2:05.60 for the gold, followed by fellow Hungarian\u00a0<strong>Zsuzsanna Jakabos<\/strong>, who finished second with a 2:06.69.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yulia Efimova<\/strong> of Russia delivered a close time of 2:06.79 for third.<\/p>\n<p>Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hannah Miley\u00a0<\/strong>turned in a time of 2:09.63 for fourth, ahead of\u00a0<strong>Anastasia Osipenko<\/strong> (2:13.63) and\u00a0<strong>Irina Shvaeva<\/strong> (2:14.27).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miho Takahashi\u00a0<\/strong>of Japan clocked a 2:16.67 for seventh, followed by\u00a0<strong>Natalia Vinokurenkova&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>2:18.74.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 400 Free:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>James Guy\u00a0<\/strong>of Great Britain delivered the top time in finals of the men&#8217;s 400 free, stopping the clock at a 3:40.70 for his first gold of the Moscow stop.<\/p>\n<p>Flipping fifth at the first 50 meters\u00a0<strong>Bobby Hurley\u00a0<\/strong>of Australia worked to push himself ahead of each of his competitors before finishing second with a time of 3:42.76.<\/p>\n<p>Germany&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Poul Zellmann\u00a0<\/strong>slipped to third with a final time of 3:44.54.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth place was picked up by\u00a0<strong>Ernest Maksumov<\/strong> and his time of 3:47.19, followed by close times from China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Chen Chaoqi<\/strong> (3:50.01) and\u00a0<strong>Emil Mukhametzianov<\/strong> (3:50.61).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nikolay Chaplinskiy<\/strong> (3:53.45) and\u00a0<strong>Kirill Feofilaktov<\/strong> (3:56.74) finished seventh and eighth respectively.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 50 Free:<\/h3>\n<p>Denmark&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jeanette Ottesen\u00a0<\/strong>delivered the only sub-24 second swim of the women&#8217;s 50 free, posting a final time of 23.95 for her second gold of the day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katie Meili<\/strong> of the USA picked up second with a time of 24.46, just ahead of Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emily Seebohm<\/strong> and her time of 24.51.<\/p>\n<p>The close times continued with\u00a0<strong>Natalia Lovtcova<\/strong> claiming fourth with a 24.64, just ahead of the Hungarian duo of\u00a0<strong>Katinka Hosszu\u00a0<\/strong>(24.76) and\u00a0<strong>Zsuzsanna Jakabos<\/strong> (24.77).<\/p>\n<p>Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daria Ustinova<\/strong> grabbed seventh with a 25.00, followed by France&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lena Bousquin&#8217;s<\/strong> 25.06.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Breast:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Marco Koch<\/strong> of Germany outlasted the competition in the men&#8217;s 200 breaststroke, turning in a first place time of 2:01.94.<\/p>\n<p>Second place went to\u00a0<strong>Mikhail Dorinov\u00a0<\/strong>and his time of 2:04.10, followed by Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kirill Prigoda&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>2:05.05.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rustam Gadirov<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Oleg Kostin\u00a0<\/strong>delivered almost matching times of 2:07.59 and 2:07.60 for fourth and fifth respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yuta Oshikiri\u00a0<\/strong>clocked a 2:07.79 for sixth, just ahead of China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Liu Yunsong&#8217;s<\/strong> 2:07.97.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grigorii Falko\u00a0<\/strong>was disqualified.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 IM:<\/h3>\n<p>After re-writing the 100 IM short course record book twice in a four day period,\u00a0<strong>Vladimir Morozov\u00a0<\/strong>was unable to lower the World Record for a third straight meet, instead finishing with a time of 51.03.<\/p>\n<p>Japna&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hiromasa Fujimori<\/strong> grabbed second with a close 51.78, followed by Germany&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Philip Heintz<\/strong> with a time of 52.19.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mitch Larkin<\/strong> of Australia turned in a 53.05 for fourth, ahead of\u00a0<strong>Michael Andrew\u00a0<\/strong>of the USA. Andrew stopped the clock at a 5456, followed closely by Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jack Gerrard<\/strong> (54.48).<\/p>\n<p>Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andrey Zhilkin<\/strong> picked up seventh with a 54.67, while\u00a0<strong>Sergei Kashperskii\u00a0<\/strong>was eighth with a 55.13.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Back:<\/h3>\n<p>An early lead from Hungary&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katinka Hosszu\u00a0<\/strong>didn&#8217;t scare Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daryna Zevina\u00a0<\/strong>as she charged past Hosszu in the second 100 meters to clock a 2:00.47 for first.<\/p>\n<p>Hosszu slipped to second with a time of 2:01.24, followed by Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emily Seebohm<\/strong> and her time of 2:02.62.<\/p>\n<p>Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daria K. Ustinova\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed fourth with a 2:05.04.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anastasia Osipenko<\/strong> picked up fifth with a 2:09.41, while\u00a0<strong>Irina Prikhodko<\/strong> was sixth with a 2:10.97.<\/p>\n<p>Seventh place went to\u00a0<strong>Anastasia Avdeeva\u00a0<\/strong>and her 2:12.86, ahead of Moldova&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tatiana Salcutan&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>2:13.47.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Fly:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Chad le Clos\u00a0<\/strong>claimed his second win of the day in the men&#8217;s 50 fly, turning in a time of 22.06 to flirt with a sub-22 swim.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andrii Govorov<\/strong> picked up second with a 22.41, followed closely by Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Adam Barrett&#8217;s<\/strong> 22.51.<\/p>\n<p>Belarus&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Pavel Sankovich\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed fourth with a 22.88, followed by\u00a0<strong>Oleg Kostin&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>23.11.<\/p>\n<p>Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Aleksandr Popkov<\/strong> (23.15), Finland&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Riku Poytakivi<\/strong> (23.34), and Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andrii Khloptsov<\/strong> (23.38) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 800 Free:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Katinka Hosszu\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Hannah Miley\u00a0<\/strong>battled for first in the women&#8217;s 800 free with Miley leading for much of the race. Hosszu turned up the heat around the 600-meter mark when she began to gain ground on Miley. By the 650-meter mark she had overtaken Miley and was on her way to another gold medal finish.<\/p>\n<p>Hosszu stopped the clock at a final time of 8:26.24, followed closely by Miley&#8217;s 8:27.75.<\/p>\n<p>Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anastasiia Kirpichnikova<\/strong> swam to third with a final time of 8:28.65 in front of her home crowd.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zsuzsanna Jakabos<\/strong> of Hungary delivered a time of 8:35.29 for fourth, followed by\u00a0<strong>Ekaterina\u00a0Sorokin&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>8:49.79.<\/p>\n<p>Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Valeriia Salamatina<\/strong> grabbed sixth with a time of 8:55.30, while Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Miho Takahashi\u00a0<\/strong>was a no show for the event.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 400 IM:<\/h3>\n<p>Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hiromasa Fujimori\u00a0<\/strong>clocked a 4:04.04 to claim gold in the men&#8217;s 400 IM finals to conclude the individual events at day one of the 2016 FINA World Cup series in Moscow.<\/p>\n<p>The German duo of\u00a0<strong>Philip Heintz<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Marco Koch<\/strong> rounded out the podium with times of 4:07.01 and 4:09.26 respectively.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dmitrii Gorbunov<\/strong> turned in a time of 4:10.80 for fourth, followed by\u00a0<strong>Daniil Pasynkov&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>4:13.52.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ivan Pavlov<\/strong> picked up sixth with a 4:18.43, ahead of\u00a0<strong>Maksim Stupin&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>4:24.67.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A.
