{"id":219646,"date":"2016-08-28T05:50:15","date_gmt":"2016-08-28T12:50:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=219646"},"modified":"2016-08-28T05:50:15","modified_gmt":"2016-08-28T12:50:15","slug":"us-air-force-academy-releases-2016-2017-meet-schedules","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/us-air-force-academy-releases-2016-2017-meet-schedules\/","title":{"rendered":"US Air Force Academy Releases 2016-2017 Meet Schedules"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. &#8211; The Air Force men&#8217;s and women\u2019s swimming and diving teams announced their 2016-17 schedules, according to head coaches <strong>Casey Converse<\/strong> (women), <strong>Rob Clayton<\/strong> (men) and <strong>Stan Curnow<\/strong> (diving).<\/p>\n<p>Both the men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s teams open the season with the annual Blue\/Silver scrimmage on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. The first regular-season meet is Oct. 7-8 at the Colorado Mesa Invitational in Grand Junction. The first home meet of the season for both teams is Oct. 22 when Colorado Mines (and Colorado Mesa men) visits the Academy. All home meets are held in the Cadet Natatorium and are free admission.<\/p>\n<p>The women&#8217;s team will compete in the annual Mountain West Championships, Feb. 15-18, in College Station, Texas. The men&#8217;s team will look to defend its Western Athletic Conference championship, the first in school history, at the WAC Championships, Feb.22-25, in Houston, Texas.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/airforce-women-schedule.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Women&#8217;s Schedule<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a
