Scheduled Events:<\/strong><\/p>\n Jeanette Ottesen\u00a0<\/strong>topped the competition in the women’s 100 free, turning in a final time of 51.84 to collect first and the $1500 prize.<\/p>\n Picking up second and third was the Hungarian duo of\u00a0Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> (52.12) and\u00a0Zsuzsanna Jakabos<\/strong> (53.50).<\/p>\n Australia’s\u00a0Leah Neale<\/strong> finished fourth overall with a 53.86, just ahead of Austria’s\u00a0Lena Kreundl’s<\/strong> 54.10.<\/p>\n Lena Bousquin<\/strong> (54.86), France’s\u00a0Joana Desbordes<\/strong> (55.99), and Singapore’s\u00a0Marina Chan\u00a0<\/strong>(56.10) completed the finals heat.<\/p>\n Philip Heintz<\/strong> of Germany and\u00a0James Guy<\/strong> of Great Britain kept a tight race during the men’s 200 free, finishing about half a second apart. Heintz got his hand to the wall first to stop the clock at a 1:43.13 over Guy’s 1:43.72.<\/p>\n France’s\u00a0Jordan Pothain<\/strong> finished fourth with a 1:44.33, just ahead of the Aussie duo of\u00a0Jack Gerrard\u00a0<\/strong>(1:44.56) and\u00a0Bobby Hurley\u00a0<\/strong>(1:44.60).<\/p>\n China’s\u00a0Hao Yun\u00a0<\/strong>(1:46.69), Germany’s\u00a0Poul Zellmann\u00a0<\/strong>(1:46.78), and Hungary’s\u00a0Mark Meszaros<\/strong> (1:46.93) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n A trio of sub-30 second swims highlighted the women’s 50 breast finals.\u00a0Alia Atkinson<\/strong> led the charge with a time of 29.25 for first, followed closely by Russia’s\u00a0Yulia Efimova<\/strong> (29.34) and the USA’s\u00a0Katie Meili<\/strong> (29.75).<\/p>\n Tessa Wallace\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed fourth with a 30.56, while\u00a0Breeja Larson\u00a0<\/strong>of the USA was fifth with a 30.71.<\/p>\n Close behind Larson was the Japanese duo of\u00a0Satomi Suzuki\u00a0<\/strong>(30.78) and\u00a0Rie Kaneto<\/strong> (30.79).<\/p>\n Eighth went to\u00a0Liz Roberts<\/strong> of the USA.<\/p>\n Cameron van der Burgh<\/strong> of South Africa snuck past Russia’s\u00a0Kirill Prigoda\u00a0<\/strong>to finish first in the men’s 100 breast final. van der Burgh turned in a time of 56.42 over Prigoda’s 56.71.<\/p>\n Vladimir Morozov<\/strong>, fresh off his new World Record, picked up third with a 56.96.<\/p>\n Brazil’s\u00a0Felipe Lima<\/strong> grabbed fourth with a 57.48, while Japan’s\u00a0Yuta Oshikiri\u00a0<\/strong>(59.24)\u00a0and the USA’s\u00a0Michael Andrew<\/strong> (59.31) kept a close race for fifth and sixth.<\/p>\n Hong Kong’s\u00a0Hoi Tung Ronald Tsui<\/strong> (1:00.15) and Japan’s\u00a0Hiromasa Fujimori<\/strong> (1:00.64) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n World Record holder in this event,\u00a0Chad le Clos<\/strong>, maintained his spot at first with a swift 49.05.<\/p>\n Second was picked up by Great Britain’s\u00a0Adam Barrett<\/strong> (49.31), while third went to Belarus’\u00a0Pavel Sankovich<\/strong> and his time of 50.44.<\/p>\n Australia’s\u00a0Nic Brown<\/strong> picked up fourth with a 51.68, just ahead of the USA’s\u00a0Tim Phillips’\u00a0<\/strong>51.93.<\/p>\n Ukraine’s\u00a0Andrii Khloptsov<\/strong> (52.31), Brazil’s\u00a0Glauber Silva\u00a0<\/strong>(52.31), and\u00a0Flavien Aubry\u00a0<\/strong>(52.34) finished the heat.<\/p>\n Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> picked up her first win of the day in the women’s 100 back. The “Iron Lady” was tied for second at the 50-meter mark, but surged ahead to bypass both\u00a0Emily Seebohm\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Daryna Zevina<\/strong>\u00a0and finish first with a 55.93.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Seebohm stopped the clock at a 56.42 for second, just ahead of Kevin’s 56.43.<\/p>\n Daria Ustinova<\/strong> (57.99),\u00a0Kira Toussaint<\/strong> (58.04),\u00a0Holly Barratt<\/strong> (59.10),\u00a0Pauline Mahieu<\/strong> (1:00.57), and\u00a0Lisa Zaiser<\/strong> (1:01.23) finished fourth through eighth respectively.<\/p>\n Jeremy Stravius<\/strong> turned on the speed for the home crowd, touching first in the men’s 50 back with a 22.85. Stravius’ time was the only sub-23 second swim of the event.<\/p>\n Pavel\u00a0Yankovich\u00a0<\/strong>picked up second with a 23.30, followed closely by\u00a0Mitch Larkin<\/strong> (23.31) and\u00a0Bobby Hurley\u00a0<\/strong>(23.35).<\/p>\n Vladimir Morozov<\/strong> and\u00a0Camille Lacourt\u00a0<\/strong>tied for fifth with matching times of 23.57.<\/p>\n Stanislav Donets<\/strong> (23.71) and\u00a0Nelson Silva Junior\u00a0<\/strong>(24.12) were seventh and eighth.<\/p>\n Germany’s\u00a0Franziska Hentke<\/strong> took first in the women’s 200 fly with a time of 2:05.16, while second was picked up by Aussie\u00a0Madeline Groves<\/strong> (2:06.54).<\/p>\n Zsuzsanna Jakabos\u00a0<\/strong>picked up another bronze with a time of 2:07.09.<\/p>\n China’s\u00a0Wang Siqi<\/strong> was fourth with a 2:07.64, followed by the French trio of\u00a0Lara Grangeon<\/strong> (2:10.17),\u00a0Alice Aubry<\/strong> (2:15.26), and Camille Wishaupt<\/strong> (2:15.89).<\/p>\n Philip Heintz<\/strong> bagged his second win of the day in finals of the men’s 200 IM. Heintz stopped the clock at a 1:52.03 over Japan’s\u00a0Hiromasa Fujimori<\/strong> (1:53.58) and South Africa’s\u00a0Chad le Clos<\/strong> (1:54.96).<\/p>\n Kirill Prigoda\u00a0<\/strong>took fourth with a time of 1:56.95, while Great Britain’s\u00a0Tristan Slater<\/strong> was fifth with a 1:57.45.<\/p>\n Sebastian Steffan\u00a0<\/strong>(1:59.62),\u00a0Ho Lun Raymond Mak<\/strong> (2:02.03), and\u00a0Taki Mrabet<\/strong> (2:04.00) were sixth through eighth.<\/p>\n Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> clocked her second win of the day in the women’s 400 free, turning in a time of 4:02.83 for the gold.<\/p>\n Shao Yiwen<\/strong> of China finished second overall with a 4:03.95, while\u00a0Leah Neale\u00a0<\/strong>picked up third with a 4:04.01.<\/p>\n Hannah Miley<\/strong> of Great Britain took fourth with a 4:04.40, followed by\u00a0Madeline Groves\u00a0<\/strong>and her time of 4:09.56.<\/p>\n Daryna Zevina<\/strong> (4:11.85),\u00a0Shen Junjie<\/strong> (4:12.15), and\u00a0Li Hui Genevieve Lye<\/strong> (4:26.32) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n Vladimir Morozov<\/strong> topped the competition in the men’s 50 free, stopping the clock at a 20.81, followed by Ukraine’s\u00a0Andrii Govorov<\/strong> and his time of 20.96.<\/p>\n Shinri Shioura<\/strong> of Japan and\u00a0Jeremy Stravius<\/strong> finished close together with times of 21.33 and 21.47 respectively.<\/p>\n Adam Barrett<\/strong> (21.72),\u00a0Guo Wei\u00a0<\/strong>(21.82),\u00a0Michael Andrew<\/strong> (22.14), and\u00a0Adi Mesetovic<\/strong> (22.39) completed the heat.<\/p>\n Japan’s\u00a0Rie Kaneto<\/strong> out-lasted the competition in finals of the women’s 200 breast, turning in a final time of 2:16.99 for the gold.<\/p>\n Russia’s\u00a0Yulia Efimova<\/strong> finished second with a time of 2:!7.32, while\u00a0Miho Takahashi<\/strong> of Japan took third with a 2:20.61.<\/p>\n Tessa Wallace\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Breeja Larson\u00a0<\/strong>kept a close race with times of 2:23.74 and 2:24.93 respectively.<\/p>\n Camille Dauba<\/strong> (2:28.51) and\u00a0Laura Paquit\u00a0<\/strong>(2:30.40) finished sixth and seventh.<\/p>\n The “Iron Lady” bagged her third win of the meet in the women’s 100 IM, turning in a final time of 57.63, followed closely by Jamaica’s\u00a0Alia Atkinson<\/strong> and her time of 57.84.<\/p>\n Australia’s\u00a0Emily Seebohm\u00a0<\/strong>finished third with a time of 58.10, while the USA’s\u00a0Katie Meili\u00a0<\/strong>was fourth with a 58.41.<\/p>\n The Austrian duo of\u00a0Lena Kreundl<\/strong> (59.92) and\u00a0Lisa Zaiser<\/strong> (59.96) finished fifth and sixth respectively.<\/p>\n Daryna Zevina<\/strong> (1:01.79) and\u00a0Kin Lok Chan<\/strong> (1:01.92) were seventh and eighth.<\/p>\n The men’s 200 back was swept by the Australian’s as the\u00a0Mitch Larkin\u00a0<\/strong>led the trio to victory.
