Heintz got his hand to the wall first to stop the clock at a 1:43.13 over Guy&#8217;s 1:43.72.<\/p>\n<p>France&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jordan Pothain<\/strong> finished fourth with a 1:44.33, just ahead of the Aussie duo of\u00a0<strong>Jack Gerrard\u00a0<\/strong>(1:44.56) and\u00a0<strong>Bobby Hurley\u00a0<\/strong>(1:44.60).<\/p>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hao Yun\u00a0<\/strong>(1:46.69), Germany&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Poul Zellmann\u00a0<\/strong>(1:46.78), and Hungary&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mark Meszaros<\/strong> (1:46.93) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 50 Breast:<\/h3>\n<p>A trio of sub-30 second swims highlighted the women&#8217;s 50 breast finals.\u00a0<strong>Alia Atkinson<\/strong> led the charge with a time of 29.25 for first, followed closely by Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yulia Efimova<\/strong> (29.34) and the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katie Meili<\/strong> (29.75).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tessa Wallace\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed fourth with a 30.56, while\u00a0<strong>Breeja Larson\u00a0<\/strong>of the USA was fifth with a 30.71.<\/p>\n<p>Close behind Larson was the Japanese duo of\u00a0<strong>Satomi Suzuki\u00a0<\/strong>(30.78) and\u00a0<strong>Rie Kaneto<\/strong> (30.79).<\/p>\n<p>Eighth went to\u00a0<strong>Liz Roberts<\/strong> of the USA.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Breast:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cameron van der Burgh<\/strong> of South Africa snuck past Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kirill Prigoda\u00a0<\/strong>to finish first in the men&#8217;s 100 breast final. van der Burgh turned in a time of 56.42 over Prigoda&#8217;s 56.71.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vladimir Morozov<\/strong>, fresh off his new World Record, picked up third with a 56.96.<\/p>\n<p>Brazil&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Felipe Lima<\/strong> grabbed fourth with a 57.48, while Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yuta Oshikiri\u00a0<\/strong>(59.24)\u00a0and the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michael Andrew<\/strong> (59.31) kept a close race for fifth and sixth.<\/p>\n<p>Hong Kong&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hoi Tung Ronald Tsui<\/strong> (1:00.15) and Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hiromasa Fujimori<\/strong> (1:00.64) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Fly:<\/h3>\n<p>World Record holder in this event,\u00a0<strong>Chad le Clos<\/strong>, maintained his spot at first with a swift 49.05.<\/p>\n<p>Second was picked up by Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Adam Barrett<\/strong> (49.31), while third went to Belarus&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Pavel Sankovich<\/strong> and his time of 50.44.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nic Brown<\/strong> picked up fourth with a 51.68, just ahead of the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tim Phillips&#8217;\u00a0<\/strong>51.93.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andrii Khloptsov<\/strong> (52.31), Brazil&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Glauber Silva\u00a0<\/strong>(52.31), and\u00a0<strong>Flavien Aubry\u00a0<\/strong>(52.34) finished the heat.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Back:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> picked up her first win of the day in the women&#8217;s 100 back. The &#8220;Iron Lady&#8221; was tied for second at the 50-meter mark, but surged ahead to bypass both\u00a0<strong>Emily Seebohm\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Daryna Zevina<\/strong>\u00a0and finish first with a 55.93.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Seebohm stopped the clock at a 56.42 for second, just ahead of Kevin&#8217;s 56.43.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daria Ustinova<\/strong> (57.99),\u00a0<strong>Kira Toussaint<\/strong> (58.04),\u00a0<strong>Holly Barratt<\/strong> (59.10),\u00a0<strong>Pauline Mahieu<\/strong> (1:00.57), and\u00a0<strong>Lisa Zaiser<\/strong> (1:01.23) finished fourth through eighth respectively.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Back:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Jeremy Stravius<\/strong> turned on the speed for the home crowd, touching first in the men&#8217;s 50 back with a 22.85. Stravius&#8217; time was the only sub-23 second swim of the event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pavel\u00a0Yankovich\u00a0<\/strong>picked up second with a 23.30, followed closely by\u00a0<strong>Mitch Larkin<\/strong> (23.31) and\u00a0<strong>Bobby Hurley\u00a0<\/strong>(23.35).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vladimir Morozov<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Camille Lacourt\u00a0<\/strong>tied for fifth with matching times of 23.57.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stanislav Donets<\/strong> (23.71) and\u00a0<strong>Nelson Silva Junior\u00a0<\/strong>(24.12) were seventh and eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Fly:<\/h3>\n<p>Germany&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Franziska Hentke<\/strong> took first in the women&#8217;s 200 fly with a time of 2:05.16, while second was picked up by Aussie\u00a0<strong>Madeline Groves<\/strong> (2:06.54).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zsuzsanna Jakabos\u00a0<\/strong>picked up another bronze with a time of 2:07.09.<\/p>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Wang Siqi<\/strong> was fourth with a 2:07.64, followed by the French trio of\u00a0<strong>Lara Grangeon<\/strong> (2:10.17),\u00a0<strong>Alice Aubry<\/strong> (2:15.26), and <strong>Camille Wishaupt<\/strong> (2:15.89).<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 IM:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Philip Heintz<\/strong> bagged his second win of the day in finals of the men&#8217;s 200 IM. Heintz stopped the clock at a 1:52.03 over Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hiromasa Fujimori<\/strong> (1:53.58) and South Africa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Chad le Clos<\/strong> (1:54.96).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kirill Prigoda\u00a0<\/strong>took fourth with a time of 1:56.95, while Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tristan Slater<\/strong> was fifth with a 1:57.45.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sebastian Steffan\u00a0<\/strong>(1:59.62),\u00a0<strong>Ho Lun Raymond Mak<\/strong> (2:02.03), and\u00a0<strong>Taki Mrabet<\/strong> (2:04.00) were sixth through eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 400 Free:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> clocked her second win of the day in the women&#8217;s 400 free, turning in a time of 4:02.83 for the gold.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shao Yiwen<\/strong> of China finished second overall with a 4:03.95, while\u00a0<strong>Leah Neale\u00a0<\/strong>picked up third with a 4:04.01.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hannah Miley<\/strong> of Great Britain took fourth with a 4:04.40, followed by\u00a0<strong>Madeline Groves\u00a0<\/strong>and her time of 4:09.56.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daryna Zevina<\/strong> (4:11.85),\u00a0<strong>Shen Junjie<\/strong> (4:12.15), and\u00a0<strong>Li Hui Genevieve Lye<\/strong> (4:26.32) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Free:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Vladimir Morozov<\/strong> topped the competition in the men&#8217;s 50 free, stopping the clock at a 20.81, followed by Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andrii Govorov<\/strong> and his time of 20.96.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shinri Shioura<\/strong> of Japan and\u00a0<strong>Jeremy Stravius<\/strong> finished close together with times of 21.33 and 21.47 respectively.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adam Barrett<\/strong> (21.72),\u00a0<strong>Guo Wei\u00a0<\/strong>(21.82),\u00a0<strong>Michael Andrew<\/strong> (22.14), and\u00a0<strong>Adi Mesetovic<\/strong> (22.39) completed the heat.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Breast:<\/h3>\n<p>Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Rie Kaneto<\/strong> out-lasted the competition in finals of the women&#8217;s 200 breast, turning in a final time of 2:16.99 for the gold.<\/p>\n<p>Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yulia Efimova<\/strong> finished second with a time of 2:!7.32, while\u00a0<strong>Miho Takahashi<\/strong> of Japan took third with a 2:20.61.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tessa Wallace\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Breeja Larson\u00a0<\/strong>kept a close race with times of 2:23.74 and 2:24.93 respectively.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Camille Dauba<\/strong> (2:28.51) and\u00a0<strong>Laura Paquit\u00a0<\/strong>(2:30.40) finished sixth and seventh.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 IM:<\/h3>\n<p>The &#8220;Iron Lady&#8221; bagged her third win of the meet in the women&#8217;s 100 IM, turning in a final time of 57.63, followed closely by Jamaica&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alia Atkinson<\/strong> and her time of 57.84.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emily Seebohm\u00a0<\/strong>finished third with a time of 58.10, while the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katie Meili\u00a0<\/strong>was fourth with a 58.41.<\/p>\n<p>The Austrian duo of\u00a0<strong>Lena Kreundl<\/strong> (59.92) and\u00a0<strong>Lisa Zaiser<\/strong> (59.96) finished fifth and sixth respectively.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daryna Zevina<\/strong> (1:01.79) and\u00a0<strong>Kin Lok Chan<\/strong> (1:01.92) were seventh and eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Back:<\/h3>\n<p>The men&#8217;s 200 back was swept by the Australian&#8217;s as the\u00a0<strong>Mitch Larkin\u00a0<\/strong>led the trio to victory.
