Scheduled Events:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Isabel Ivey<\/strong> of the USA flirted with a sub-55 second swim in prelims of the women’s 100 free to return as tonight’s top seed. Ivey posted a 55.03 to lead by close to half a second going into tonight’s final.<\/p>\n China’s\u00a0Liu Zixuan<\/strong> picked up the second place seed with a time of 55.49, just ahead of Canada’s\u00a0Rebecca Smith<\/strong> and her time of 55.55.<\/p>\n The USA’s\u00a0Grace Ariola<\/strong> turned in a 55.87 for the fourth place seed, while Australia’s\u00a0Gemma Cooney<\/strong> posted a 55.96 for fifth.<\/p>\n China’s\u00a0Tang Yuting<\/strong> qualified sixth in prelims with a time of 56.10.<\/p>\n Canada’s\u00a0Kayla Sanchez\u00a0<\/strong>(56.68) and Japan’s\u00a0Sayuki Ouchi<\/strong> (56.73) rounded out the top eight qualifiers.<\/p>\n Australia’s\u00a0Jack Cartwright<\/strong> continued last night’s record-breaking success into the pool this morning, overturning the existing Junior Pan Pacs meet record in the men’s 100 free during prelims. The young Aussie posted a time of 48.91 to overturn\u00a0Matt Ellis’<\/strong> 2012 meet record of 49.24.<\/p>\n Cameron Craig<\/strong> of the USA and\u00a0Louis Townsend<\/strong> of Australia delivered similar times for the second and third place seeds respectively. Craig stopped the clock at a 49.45 over Townsend’s 49.48 to return for tonight’s ‘A’ final.<\/p>\n The USA’s\u00a0Daniel Krueger<\/strong> turned in a 49.61 for the fourth place seed and to make him the only other swimmer under athlete under the 50-second mark.<\/p>\n Japan’s Juran Mizohata<\/strong> picked up the sixth place seed in tonight’s final with a 50.95. He returns flanked by\u00a0Canada’s\u00a0Ian MacKinnon\u00a0<\/strong>(50.93)\u00a0and\u00a0Stephen Calkins<\/strong>\u00a0(51.61) as the fifth and seventh place seeds.<\/p>\n Eighth was picked up by Singapore’s\u00a0Darren Chua’s\u00a0<\/strong>51.95.<\/p>\n The women of the 100 breaststroke wasted no time turning up the heat with the top two swimmers posting times underneath the existing Junior Pan Pacs meet record. The USA duo of\u00a0Zoe Bartel\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Allie Raab<\/strong> turned in times of 1:07.82 and 1:07.92 respectively to both sneak under\u00a0Lilly King’s<\/strong> 2014 meet record of 1:07.98.<\/p>\n Canada’s\u00a0Kelsey Wog<\/strong> picked up the third place seed with a time of 1:08.36, just ahead of a duo of 1:10’s. Japan’s\u00a0Shiori Asaba<\/strong> and Canada’s\u00a0Faith Knelson<\/strong> posted times of 1:10.70 and 1:10.96 for the fourth and fifth place seeds in tonight’s finals.<\/p>\n Japan’s\u00a0Erina Tsuda<\/strong> claimed the sixth place seed with a time of 1:11.66, while Australia’s\u00a0Sarah Beale\u00a0<\/strong>finished seventh in prelims with a 1:11.88.<\/p>\n Singapore’s\u00a0Christie Chue<\/strong> grabbed eighth going into tonight’s finals with a 1:12.85.<\/p>\n Jacob Montague<\/strong> of the USA turned in the only sub-1:01 swim in the men’s 100 breaststroke prelims, stopping the clock at a 1:00.81 to nab the first place seed for tonight’s finals.<\/p>\n Australia’s\u00a0Matthew Wilson\u00a0<\/strong>delivered a 1:01.03 for the second place seed, while\u00a0Reece Whitley<\/strong> of the USA picked up third with a 1:01.68.<\/p>\n China’s\u00a0Sun Jiajun<\/strong> and Australia’s\u00a0Daniel Cave<\/strong> turned in similar times of 1:01.94 and 1:01.96 respectively. The two return as the fourth and fifth place seeds for tonight’s final.<\/p>\n Canada’s\u00a0Warren Mayer<\/strong> posted a time of 1:02.08 to return as the sixth place seed, just ahead of Japan’s\u00a0Yu Hanaguruma’s\u00a0<\/strong>1:02.48.<\/p>\n Japanese teammate\u00a0Daichi Inagaki<\/strong> was eighth with a close 1:02.49.<\/p>\n The USA’s\u00a0Brooke Forde\u00a0<\/strong>leads the women’s 400 IM into finals with the top time of the morning. Forde stopped the clock at a 4:43.03 to return as the top seed.<\/p>\n The Canadian duo of\u00a0Mary-Sophie Harvey\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Sarah Darcel<\/strong> picked up the second and third place seeds with times of 4:43.57 and 4:44.44 respectively.<\/p>\n Fourth and fifth place going into tonight’s final was picked up by the Japanese duo of\u00a0Miku Kojima<\/strong> (4:45.43) and\u00a0Anna Sasaki\u00a0<\/strong>(4:46.58).<\/p>\n Margaret Aroesty<\/strong> of the USA delivered a 4:49.58 to pick up the sixth place seed in tonight’s final, while Australia’s\u00a0Francesa Fitzhenry<\/strong> turned in a 4:51.86 for seventh.<\/p>\n Mya Rasmussem<\/strong> of New Zealand rounded out the top eight qualifiers with a 4:54.12.<\/p>\n Sean Grieshop<\/strong> of the USA dominated prelims of the men’s 400 IM turning in a time more than three seconds faster than the rest of the field.
