Schedule of Events:<\/strong><\/p>\n Li Bingjie\u00a0<\/strong>of China led the women’s 200 free prelims field with a time of 1:59.10 to grab the top seed in tonight’s finals.<\/p>\n The USA’s\u00a0Isabel Ivey<\/strong> turned in the only other sub-2 minute time with a 1:59.96 to pick up the second place seed.<\/p>\n Teammate\u00a0Lauren Pitzer\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed the third place seed with a 2:00.14, just ahead of Australia’s\u00a0Ariarne Titmus’\u00a0<\/strong>2:00.28.<\/p>\n Canada’s\u00a0Mary Harvey<\/strong> returns tonight as the fifth place seed with a 2:00.56, while teammate\u00a0Rebecca Smith\u00a0<\/strong>was sixth in prelims with a 2:00.61.<\/p>\n China’s\u00a0Li Zixuan\u00a0<\/strong>(2:00.95) and\u00a0Rio Shirai<\/strong> (2:02.39) round out the top eight returners.<\/p>\n Australia, the USA, Canada, and Japan return to tonight’s finals of the men’s 200 free as two-by-two with the Australian duo of\u00a0Jac Cartwright\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Louis Townsend<\/strong> leading the way. Cartwright turned in a 1:48.57 over Townsend’s 1:48.96 to take the first and second place seeds.<\/p>\n The USA’s\u00a0Drew Kibler<\/strong> and\u00a0Sean Grieshop<\/strong> picked up the third and fourth place seeds with times of 1:49.81 and 1:50.40 respectively.<\/p>\n Returning as the fifth and sixth place seeds are\u00a0Ian MacKinnon\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Brian Palaschuk<\/strong> of Canada. MacKinnon posted a 1:51.78, just ahead of Palaschuk’s 1:52.94.<\/p>\n Tomoy Takeuchi\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Juran Mizohata\u00a0<\/strong>of Japan round out the top eight with times of 1:53.03 and 1:53.23 respectively.<\/p>\n Lucie Nordmann\u00a0<\/strong>of the USA topped prelims of the women’s 100 back, stopping the clock at a 1:00.89.<\/p>\n Australia’s\u00a0Minna Atherton<\/strong> slipped from the top seed to second with a time of 1:01.06, just ahead of the USA’s\u00a0Alex Walsh<\/strong> and her time of 1:01.11.<\/p>\n Kaylee McKeown\u00a0<\/strong>of Australia picked up the fourth place seed with a time of 1:01.57, while Canada’s\u00a0Danielle Hanus<\/strong> was fifth in prelims with a 1:02.17.<\/p>\n Gabrielle Fa’Amausili<\/strong> of New Zealand delivered a 1:02.45 for the sixth place seed.<\/p>\n Canada’s\u00a0Ingrid Wilm\u00a0<\/strong>(1:02.70) and Japan’s\u00a0Rio Shirai<\/strong> (1:02.77) finished seventh and eighth in prelims.<\/p>\n The young USA stars took note of the USA’s performances in the men’s 100 back in Rio by turning in the top two times of the men’s 100 back preliminaries.\u00a0Cameron Craig<\/strong> picked up the top seed with a 55.35, while\u00a0teammate\u00a0Michael Taylor <\/strong>delivered a\u00a055.55 for second.<\/p>\n Leon McCallister<\/strong> of Australia picked up the third place seed with a time of 56.73, while Mexico’s\u00a0Andy Song<\/strong> touched in 57.30 for fourth.<\/p>\n Canada’s\u00a0Tai Long Singh<\/strong> grabbed the fifth place seed with a 57.58, just ahead of Australia’s\u00a0Bradley Woodward’s\u00a0<\/strong>57.67.<\/p>\n Matthew Mac<\/strong> of Canada took seventh in prelims with a 57.83 and Singapore’s\u00a0Francis Fong\u00a0<\/strong>was eighth in 58.39.<\/p>\n Ruby Martin<\/strong> of the USA continued her breakout performance from the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials with a top showing in prelims of the women’s 200 fly. Martin stopped the clock at a 2:11.52 to secure the top seed, while teammate\u00a0Cassidy Bayer<\/strong> picked up the second place seed with a 2:12.14.<\/p>\n Laura Taylor\u00a0<\/strong>of Australia grabbed third going into tonight’s finals with a time of 2:12.56.<\/p>\n A trio of 2:14’s followed Taylor with Canada’s\u00a0Mabel Zavaros\u00a0<\/strong>leading the way with a 2:14.63. The Japanese duo of\u00a0Anna Sasaki<\/strong> and\u00a0Maia Nishimura\u00a0<\/strong>picked up fifth and sixth respectively with times of 2:14.72 and 2:14.97.<\/p>\n Canada’s\u00a0Sarah Darcel\u00a0<\/strong>(2:15.55) and Singapore’s\u00a0Jing Wen Quah\u00a0<\/strong>(2:16.86) return as seventh and eighth for tonight’s finals.<\/p>\n Nao Horomura<\/strong> and\u00a0Yuya Sakamoto\u00a0<\/strong>of Japan dominated prelims of the men’s 200 fly, posting the only sub 2-minute times.
