Bronze was won by Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yukiko Inui<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Risako Mitsui<\/strong> with a score of 188.0547.<\/p>\n<p>Talking to the media afterwards, Romashina commented that &#8220;sometimes everyone calls us mermaids and asks us if we have gills, so we are really comfortable in this performance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ishchenko and Romashina&#8217;s gold medal performance further solidified the country&#8217;s dominance over the sport of synchronized swimming bringing home the country&#8217;s fifth straight gold medal and the duo&#8217;s second straight gold.<\/p>\n<p>Despite their dominating performance, the duo expressed uncertainty as to whether or not they will be continuing to compete.
