AUSTIN, Texas, Feb. 2. THE NO.1-ranked Texas men's swimming and diving team improved its dual meet record to 6-1 by defeating TCU, 108-80, on Friday afternoon at the Jamail Swim Center. TCU Falls to 1-5 for the season.<\/p>\n
Senior Nate Dusing (Villa Hills, Ky.) was Texas' only double-winner claiming the 50 (20.17) and 100 free-style (45.17). Sophomore Chris Kemp (Southlake, Texas) touched first in the 200 IM (1:51.88), while freshmen Michael Halika (Jerusalem, Israel) and Ian Crocker (Portland, Maine) finished first in the 200 fly (1:50.27) and 200 freestyle (1:39.82), respectively.<\/p>\n
Additionally, junior Harold Hyde (Austin, Texas) posted a first-place finish on the one-meter diving board (331.19), while teammate and junior Jarod Carter (League City, Texas) placed second (327.44).<\/p>\n
The Longhorns will next meet No. 22 SMU on Saturday, Feb. 3 at the Jamail Swim Center. Diving events will begin at 10 a.m., while the swimming events are stated for 4:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
