Manaudou, the reigning Olympic champion in this event, posted a 21.32 to not only claim the top seed going into tomorrow&#8217;s final, but also the top time in the world for 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Tonight&#8217;s top seed\u00a0<strong>Andrii Govorov<\/strong> of Ukraine and\u00a0<strong>Anthony Ervin\u00a0<\/strong>of the USA delivered matching times in heat two of the semi-finals, stopping the clock at 21.46 to tie for the second place seed.<\/p>\n<p>Fellow American\u00a0<strong>Nathan Adrian\u00a0<\/strong>turned in a close 21.47 from heat one to return as the fourth place seed.<\/p>\n<p>Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ben Proud<\/strong> picked up fifth with a 21.54, while hometown favorite\u00a0<strong>Bruno Fratus<\/strong> of Brazil tied for sixth with Lithuania&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Simonas Bilis<\/strong>.
