Everything you need to follow along with the second\u00a0night of finals of the 2016 Speedo Junior National Championships.<\/p>\n
Schedule of Events:<\/strong><\/p>\n Hit refresh for the latest results<\/em><\/p>\n To kick off the night,\u00a0Lucie Nordmann\u00a0<\/strong>of Magnolia Aquatic Club refused to give up her spot as the top seed as\u00a0she cruised to the wall first with a best time of 2:09.40. \u00a0Finishing second behind Nordmann was\u00a0Tide’s Callie Dickinson\u00a0<\/strong>who also had a best time of 2:11.71, just out touching Regan Smith\u00a0<\/strong>who finished third at 2:11.96.<\/p>\n The top three finished well ahead of the rest of the field, with\u00a0Katharine Berkoff\u00a0<\/strong>touching fourth at 2:14.12 and\u00a0Abi Wilder\u00a0<\/strong>finishing fifth at\u00a02:14.38.<\/p>\n Just off their preliminary times,\u00a0Grace Ariola\u00a0<\/strong>(2:15.21),\u00a0Marcie Maguire\u00a0<\/strong>(2:15.34) and\u00a0Audrey Reimer\u00a0<\/strong>(2:17.62) were sixth, seventh and eighth respectively in the A final of the women’s 200 back.<\/p>\n Following the women’s 200 back was the men’s 200 back, which consisted of the top four swimmers all besting their times from the preliminary session. \u00a0Clark Beach\u00a0<\/strong>maintained his\u00a0top seed, breaking the two minute mark and touching at 1:59.56. \u00a0Finishing second behind Beach once again was\u00a0Austin Swim Club’s\u00a0Josh Artmann\u00a0<\/strong>who touched at 2:00.35.<\/p>\n Just behind the two leaders,\u00a0Upper Dublin’s\u00a0Alessandro Boratto\u00a0<\/strong>finished third at 2:01.79 just ahead of\u00a0Tal Davis\u00a0<\/strong>who was fourth at 2:01.97, both touching faster than this morning.<\/p>\n It was a battle between fifth and sixth place with\u00a0Ethan Beach\u00a0<\/strong>(2:03.41) beating out\u00a0Peter Larson\u00a0<\/strong>(2:03.46).<\/p>\n Connor Doyle\u00a0<\/strong>(2:04.14) and\u00a0Ethand Harder <\/strong>(2:05.29)\u00a0finished seventh and eighth respectively in the A final.<\/p>\n After an exciting preliminary race, the finals were just as entertaining for the women’s 100 free. \u00a0Although she entered finals seeded third,\u00a0Morgan Tankersley\u00a0<\/strong>of Greater Tampa Swim Association took first with a blazing best time of 56.06. \u00a0Just two hundredths behind her was\u00a0Morgan Scott\u00a0<\/strong>who also had a best time, touching second at 56.06.<\/p>\n With a tie for third,\u00a0Miki Dahlke\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Kenisha Lui\u00a0<\/strong>touched at 56.14 both bettering their time from their preliminary swim. \u00a0Riley Gaines\u00a0<\/strong>(56.71)\u00a0finished fifth just ahead of Carmel Swim Club’s\u00a0Trude Rothrock\u00a0<\/strong>(56.72).<\/p>\n To round out the A final of the women’s 100 free,\u00a0Melissa Pish\u00a0<\/strong>was seventh at 56.99 and\u00a0Anya Goeders\u00a0<\/strong>was eighth at 57.16.<\/p>\n Finishing first in prelims was not enough for\u00a0Michael Andrew\u00a0<\/strong>who cruised to first again tonight with a best time of 50.09. \u00a0Touching second behind Andrew was Drew Kibler<\/strong> of Carmel Swim Club who also had a best time of 50.28. \u00a0Continuing with the best times,\u00a0Cody Bybee\u00a0<\/strong>of the Dayton Raiders was third at 50.96.<\/p>\n Finishing just behind Bybee,\u00a0Levente Bathory\u00a0<\/strong>of Enfinity Aquatic Club also bettered his time from prelims at 51.04. \u00a0Coming in at fifth just two hundredths behind Bathory was\u00a0David Madej\u00a0<\/strong>with a time 51.06.<\/p>\n Matthew Willenbring<\/strong>\u00a0(51.26), Sam Schilling\u00a0<\/strong>(51.28) and\u00a0Jake Sannem\u00a0<\/strong>(51.34)\u00a0rounded out the A final for tonight’s 100 free, all at their preliminary times.<\/p>\n Switching over to the distance event of the night,\u00a0Lauren Edelman\u00a0<\/strong>of Fisher Area Swim Team touched first to better her preliminary time to touch at 4:47.78. \u00a0She was nearly three seconds ahead of\u00a0Sammie Burchill\u00a0<\/strong>of Carmel Swim Club who also dropped from her preliminary time to touch at 4:50.75. \u00a0Coming in just behind Burchill was\u00a0Hailey Houck\u00a0<\/strong>who touched third at 4:51.20.<\/p>\n For her second race of the night,\u00a0Kenisha Liu\u00a0<\/strong>bettered her preliminary time by over two seconds to touch fourth at 4:52.90. \u00a0Finishing behind Liu,\u00a0Carley Lowe\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Camryn Toney\u00a0<\/strong>were just separated by two tenths, finishing fifth and sixth respectively at 4:35.56 and 4:53.76.<\/p>\n Dannie Dilsaver\u00a0<\/strong>(4:55.18) and\u00a0Maggie Jahns\u00a0<\/strong>(4:58.09) completed the top eight finishing seventh and eighth.<\/p>\n On the men’s side, with a huge five second drop from this morning and a best time of 4:23.05,\u00a0Eric Knowles\u00a0<\/strong>of the Dayton Raiders finished first, just ahead of\u00a0Kieran Smith\u00a0<\/strong>who was the top seed after this morning. \u00a0Smith also touched with a best time of 4:23.25 and was right ahead of\u00a0Sam Iida\u00a0<\/strong>who finished third at 4:23.32– a best time.<\/p>\n Following the top three finishers, the rest of the top eight all dropped time from their preliminary swims. \u00a0Tal Davis\u00a0<\/strong>was fourth in the final at 4:24.43, while\u00a0Carter Grimes\u00a0<\/strong>moved from seventh up to fifth with a best time of 4:25.29.<\/p>\n After Grimes,\u00a0Jake Foster\u00a0<\/strong>(4:26.74) of the Mason Manta Rays was sixth, while his brother and the youngest swimmer in the A final, Carson Foster<\/strong>,\u00a0was seventh with a time of 4:27.03. \u00a0The Fostors were followed by\u00a0Matthew Jerden\u00a0<\/strong>(4:30.22) who\u00a0was eighth.<\/p>\n To finish off the night, the women’s 4×100 relay took off with\u00a0Carmel Swim Club\u00a0<\/strong>crushing the event by over three seconds and touching with a time of 3:47.12. \u00a0Just behind Carmel it was a close race for second and third, with\u00a0Austin Swim Club\u00a0<\/strong>out touching the\u00a0Aquajets Swim Team<\/strong>. \u00a0Austin touched at 3:50.63, while the Aquajets finished at 3:50.87.<\/p>\n On the men’s side, for the final event of the night, the\u00a0Aquajets Swim Team\u00a0<\/strong>stole first with a time 3:26.76. \u00a0Just behind the Aquajets, the Dayton Raiders\u00a0<\/strong>touched second at 3:27.25. \u00a0Both finished well ahead of the\u00a0Memphis Thunder\u00a0<\/strong>who clocked\u00a0third at
