Events:<\/strong><\/p>\n Bethany Galat<\/strong> of Aggie Swim Club continued to flex her individual medley dominance with the top morning swim in the women’s 400 IM. Galat stopped the clock at a 4:44.48 to grab the top seed going into tonight’s final. Galat’s best time sits at a 4:37.69, setting her up for a potential challenge of the U.S. Open meet record of 4:38.38.<\/p>\n University of Alabama’s\u00a0Mia Nonnenberg<\/strong> picked up the second place seed with a time of 4:47.79, about five seconds off her seed time of 4:42.19.<\/p>\n Hannah Moore<\/strong> of NC State grabbed the third place seed with a time of 4:48.15, just ahead of\u00a0Madisyn Cox’s<\/strong> finish of 4:48.55.<\/p>\n Aberdeen Swim Club’s\u00a0Hannah Kastigar<\/strong> and Y-Spartaquatics’\u00a0Savanna Faulconer<\/strong> delivered similar times in prelims to finish fifth and sixth respectively in prelims. Kastigar stopped the clock at a 4:50.12 over Faulconer’s 4:50.18.<\/p>\n Brooke Zeiger<\/strong> of University of Minnesota turned in a 4:50.96 for the seventh place seed, while Indiana University’s\u00a0Sam Lisy<\/strong> was eighth with a 4:52.20.<\/p>\n Gamecock Aquatics’\u00a0Tom Peribonio<\/strong> and\u00a0Wisconsin Aquatics’\u00a0Michael Weiss<\/strong> kept a tight race in prelims of the men’s 400 IM, finishing .04 seconds apart to return as tonight’s top two seeds. Peribonio delivered a time of 4:20.71, while Weiss claimed second with a 4:20.75.<\/p>\n The third place seed was earned by Gator Swim Club’s\u00a0Mark Szaranek<\/strong> and his time of 4:21.74.<\/p>\n Max Williamson<\/strong> of Stanford took fourth in prelims with a time of 4:23.06, while Club Wolverine’s\u00a0PJ\u00a0<\/strong>Hansford<\/b> grabbed fifth with a 4:26.86.<\/p>\n Alexander Lebed<\/strong>, unattached, (4:27.05), Edina Swim Club’s\u00a0Johnthomas Larson<\/strong> (4:29.74), and Irish Aquatics’\u00a0Tommy Anderson<\/strong> (4:27.17) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n Swim Wales’\u00a0Alys Margaret Thomas<\/strong> led a swift women’s 100 fly field in prelims posting the only sub-59 of the morning. Thomas stopped the clock at a 58.89 to grab the first place seed and challenge the U.S. Open meet record of 58.18.<\/p>\n Sarah Gibson<\/strong> of Aggie Swim Club picked up the second place seed with a time of 59.04, just ahead of Aquazot’s\u00a0Eva Merrell’s<\/strong> 59.16.<\/p>\n North Carolina’s\u00a0Hellen Moffitt<\/strong> delivered a close 59.29 for the fourth place seed, while fifth fell to South Florida’s\u00a0Claire Donahue<\/strong> (59.71).<\/p>\n Aliena Schmidtke<\/strong>, swimming unattached, and Schroeder YMCA’s\u00a0Hannah Saiz<\/strong> posted similar times for the sixth and seventh place seeds. Schmditke stopped the clock at a 59.85 over Saiz’s 59.89.<\/p>\n Cardinal Aquatics’\u00a0Mallory Comerford<\/strong> was eighth with a 1:00.28.<\/p>\n Indiana University’s\u00a0Vini Lanza<\/strong> edged out the competition in prelims with a time of 52.95 to be the only athlete under the 53-second mark.<\/p>\n Zach Harting<\/strong> of Cardinal Aquatics grabbed the second place seed with a time of 53.63, just ahead of teammate\u00a0Josh Quallen<\/strong> and Race Pace Club’s\u00a0Michael Andrew<\/strong>.
