Margaux\u2019s first\u00a0Olympics\u2019 was in 2008, Beijing where she competed as a 16 year-old. In London, 2012\u00a0she finished 4th where after a day-long competition, she was just 2 seconds from a\u00a0medal. Since London, Margaux has won several World Cups, Continental and National\u00a0Championships and the prestigious Champions of Champions event which brings\u00a0together the winners of all of the world\u2019s major competitions. World ranked #1 in the\u00a02015 World Cup season, this year, she is again a medal contender in Rio.<\/p>\n<p>Joining Margaux is her younger sister <strong>Isabella<\/strong>, where for the first time in Modern\u00a0Pentathlon history\u00a0two sisters will compete together in the same games. Isabella is a\u00a0Junior World Champion from 2012 where she teamed with Margaux and <strong>Samantha\u00a0Achterberg<\/strong>.\u00a0 Also a US National Champion, she has now moved up successfully to the\u00a0senior rankings. Isabella and Margaux both now live and train at the US Olympic\u00a0Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO.<\/p>\n<p>The US men\u2019s team will have US Army Sergeant <strong>Nathan Schrimsher<\/strong>, Roswell, NM, the\u00a0first American over-all to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games with his bronze medal in\u00a0the 2015 Pan American Games held in Toronto, Canada.\u00a0 Nathan is part of the US\u00a0Army World Class Athlete Program (WCAP) and is based in Fort Carson allowing him to\u00a0train in Colorado Springs at the US Olympic Training Center. Nathan continues a\u00a0tradition of US Army WCAP athletes representing the United States in Pentathlon as US\u00a0Army Sergeant Dennis Bowsher competed in 2012 in London. Nathan was a multiple\u00a0Junior National Champion before becoming a multiple Senior National Champion and\u00a0Pan American Games medalist.<\/p>\n<p>The replacement athletes for Team USA will be 2016 US National Champion <strong>Samantha\u00a0Achterberg<\/strong>, Littleton, CO and former US Junior National Champion Lucas Schrimsher,\u00a0Nathan\u2019s younger brother.<\/p>\n<p>US head coach, <strong>Janusz Peciak<\/strong>, 1976 Olympic gold medalist, said, \u201cThe USA is fielding\u00a0one of the strongest teams in recent years. The selection process came down to the\u00a0final competition with all athletes performing well under difficult circumstances.
