At Olympic Trials earlier this summer, the Cal swimmer won the 100 and 200 backstrokes. He heads to his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/4-fun-facts-about-first-time-olympian-ryan-murphy\/\" target=\"_blank\">first Olympic Games<\/a>\u00a0with the second best times in the world this year in each of those events.<\/p>\n<div class=\"oembed-wrap\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Ryan Murphy - USA Swimming Olympic Team 2016\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/U73QkPL6LMA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
