He is the first American swimmer to achieve that feat.<\/p>\n<p>The 22 year old spoke about the difficulties and unpredictable elements associated with open water swimming. Wilimovsky compared that to the simplicity of racing the clock in the pool.<\/p>\n<p>At the 2015 World Championships, he won\u00a0the 10K to earn an Olympic berth.
