The York 16 year old posted a 4:17.76, a second shy of her own National record. Hickory&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emmaline Peterson\u00a0<\/strong>out touched Boise&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Abbey Erwin\u00a0<\/strong>for silver as the two finished in 4:19.39 and 4:19.21.<\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s 400 freestyle came down to the wire and ended in a tie. Hickory flexed its distance muscle again tonight as Peterson&#8217;s teammate\u00a0<strong>Ross Dant\u00a0<\/strong>registered a 3:58.90, finishing at the exact same time as\u00a0Chesire&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Karl Bishop<\/strong>. The two were just a half second shy of the National record of 3:58.37, and Dant is only 15.\u00a0<strong>Grant House\u00a0<\/strong>of Countryside finished third in 3:59.52.<\/p>\n<p>Another national record was challenged\u00a0in the women&#8217;s 50 butterfly. Countryside&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Megan Sichterman\u00a0<\/strong>charged to the wall in 27.40. Fanwood Scotch Plain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sarah Davis\u00a0<\/strong>touched second in 27.63 and\u00a0<strong>Athena Ye\u00a0<\/strong>of Kishwaukee\u00a0also cleared 28 seconds in 27.88.<\/p>\n<p>Green Family&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Dominic Poletta\u00a0<\/strong>snagged victory in the men&#8217;s 50 butterfly with a 25.16. Upper Main Line&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Billy Beard\u00a0<\/strong>(25.19) and Greensboro&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alex Strasser\u00a0<\/strong>(25.21) were just behind.<\/p>\n<p>After winning last night&#8217;s 50 breaststroke, Montclair&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Cha O&#8217;Leary\u00a0<\/strong>was back tonight to take the 100 crown, touching in 1:11.58. Over a second behind was New Canaan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lizzy Colwell\u00a0<\/strong>in 1:12.94.\u00a0<strong>Brooke Perrotta\u00a0<\/strong>of\u00a0Cheshire secured bronze in 1:13.39.<\/p>\n<p>Door County&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Maxwell McHugh\u00a0<\/strong>was dominant in the men&#8217;s 100 breaststroke. The 16 year old stopped the clock in 1:04.28.\u00a0<strong>Chris Bondarowicz\u00a0<\/strong>(1:05.80) of Fanwood Scotch Plains and Red Bank&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Joseph Skimmons\u00a0<\/strong>(1:06.28) completed the top three.<\/p>\n<p>Wilton&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ky-lee Perry\u00a0<\/strong>topped the women&#8217;s 50 freestyle in 25.87. Lancaster&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Olivia Schmlezer\u00a0<\/strong>touched second in 26.08 and third place went to Edwardsville&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Bailey Grinter\u00a0<\/strong>in 26.31.<\/p>\n<p>Wilton swept the 50 freestyles as\u00a0<strong>Hugo Sykes\u00a0<\/strong>touched first on the men&#8217;s side in 23.52. Rapid Area&#8217;s\u00a015 year old\u00a0<strong>Henry Schutte\u00a0<\/strong>was runner up with a 23.64 and\u00a0Beard was third in 23.78.<\/p>\n<p>The Hickory women took home a team title, touching in 8:23.68 to win the women&#8217;s 800 freestyle relay.\u00a0<strong>Faith Hefner<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Madison Murtagh<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Sophia Cherkez<\/strong><strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Anna Durak\u00a0<\/strong>combined for that title.\u00a0<strong>Robby Giller<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Will Suchy<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Lexo Walker<\/strong>, and Sykes put together a 7:42.78 to win the men&#8217;s relay for Wilton.<\/p>\n<p>Full results available on Meet Mobile.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On day four of YMCA Nationals,\u00a0Leah Braswell\u00a0won the 400 freestyle for the second year in a row.
