That shouldn\u2019t happen two years in a row. Still, <strong>France<\/strong>\u2014which won gold medals in Kazan and four years ago in dramatic fashion in London\u2014is the team to beat: <strong>Jeremy Stravius<\/strong>, <strong>Florent Manaudou<\/strong> and <strong>Clement Mignon<\/strong> all rank among the top seven in the world.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nathan Adrian<\/strong> (#2 in the world this year, 47.72) will be the key leg for the <strong>Americans<\/strong>, while <strong>Cameron McEvoy<\/strong> (#1, 47.04) will be the same for <strong>Australia<\/strong>. <strong>Brazil<\/strong>, with <strong>Marcelo Chierighini<\/strong> (#12, 48.20) and <strong>Nicolas Oliveira<\/strong> (#15, 48.30) leading the way, could, perhaps, ride the home-crowd support to a medal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TALK ON DECK<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Can France continue its recent dominance in the event? Although there isn\u2019t any superstar on the team such as <strong>Alain Bernard<\/strong>, its depth is unmatched.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Can the United States and Australia avoid the mistake of a poor prelim swim that cost both teams a spot in the final at last year\u2019s World Championships?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Which country might be a threat to sneak onto the medal podium with a huge anchor leg?
