The swim, which he estimated would take 40 hours to complete, took almost 41.<\/p>\n<p>After the swim the 39 year old reported, &#8220;We are feeling over the moon with excitement and happiness. Our dreams came to fruition yesterday and the crew and I couldn&#8217;t be more happy with the way things turned out. It&#8217;s a pretty good feeling when you achieve something you set your mind to and for such a great purpose.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>As he had before attempting the swim, Ellenstein emphasized the mental component. The swim was dedicated to his aunt\u00a0<strong>Susan Scarlet\u00a0<\/strong>and her battle with Parkinson&#8217;s Disease. Scarlet even joined him in the water for a part of his swim.<\/p>\n<p>Having completed the record setting swim, Ellenstein is unsure of what his next challenge will be.
