THE amount of Singapore national records set at the nation&#39;s championships nearly broke into double digits at the long course meet.<\/p>\n<p>Wei Xiong Parker Lam set a pair of sprint records in the men&#39;s 50 breast.  First, he posted a 29.43 to break Toh Chuan Kenneth Goh&#39;s 2003 record of 29.72.  Lam then clocked a 29.31 to finish the progression. Jia Hao Ng then beat another of Goh&#39;s marks with a 1:04.46 in the men&#39;s 100 breast. The readout cleared Goh&#39;s 1998 standard of 1:04.84.<\/p>\n<p>The women took care of the rest of the record breaking.  Ting Wen Quah eclipsed three national records.  Quah clocked a 55.65 in the women&#39;s 100 free to beat her March record of 55.80.  Quah then turned in a 2:00.14 in the women&#39;s 200 free to crush Lynette Lim&#39;s mark of 2:02.30 set at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.  Quah finished her record-breaking run with a 25.65 in the 50 free. That readout beat the 25.75 set by Xiang Qi Amanda Lim set in prelims, which in turn bettered the 26.13 set by Wei Ling Joscelin Yeo in 2005.<\/p>\n<p>Li Tao posted a 1:02.72 in the women&#39;s 100 back.  The swim beat her standard of 1:03.17 set in 2007. Jia Yi Shana Lim matched Tao&#39;s women&#39;s 50 back record with a 29.20.
