The Indiana University swimmer thought his best chance was in the 200 freestyle, but bounced back from a difficult semifinal performance in that event, to post three lifetime best times in the 100.<\/p>\n<p>Pieroni reflected on how helpful his experience on the Junior National team was to making the Olympic squad. Less than two weeks out from the Games, the\u00a0first time Olympian\u00a0is still in disbelief at times.<\/p>\n<p>At the 2015 US National Championships, he finished third in the 200 freestyle.
