Bruin commit\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.usawaterpolo.org\/sports\/w-senior\/mtt\/maddie_musselman_901334.html\" target=\"_blank\">Maddie Musselman<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(Newport Beach, CA\/Corona del Mar HS\/CdM Aquatics) paced the offense with four goals, current UCLA student\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.usawaterpolo.org\/sports\/w-senior\/mtt\/rachel_fattal_846597.html\" target=\"_blank\">Rachel Fattal<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Seal Beach, CA\/UCLA\/SOCAL) added two and recent grad\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.usawaterpolo.org\/sports\/w-senior\/mtt\/sami_hill_833890.html\" target=\"_blank\">Sami Hill<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(Santa Barbara, CA\/UCLA\/NYAC) posted ten saves in net. The two teams close out their three game set at a sold out Stanford University <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1836282653\"><span class=\"aQJ\">on Wednesday<\/span><\/span> evening at <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1836282654\"><span class=\"aQJ\">7pm pt<\/span><\/span>. Live coverage of the match will start at <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1836282655\"><span class=\"aQJ\">6:45pm pt<\/span><\/span> at Facebook.com\/USAWP.<\/p>\n<p>On the heels of a 16-5 win in the series opening match in San Diego, things looked to be trending the same way in the opening moments of today&#8217;s match as\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.usawaterpolo.org\/sports\/w-senior\/mtt\/makenzie_fischer_879120.html\" target=\"_blank\">Makenzie Fischer<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Laguna Beach, CA\/Laguna Beach HS\/SET) scored the first goal of the game a little over five minutes into the period. Unlike <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1836282656\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Thursday<\/span><\/span> night, Russia had an immediate response scoring back to back goals to go in front 2-1 with <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1836282657\"><span class=\"aQJ\">2:43<\/span><\/span> to play. It marked their first lead in the series and only one the afternoon.\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.usawaterpolo.org\/sports\/w-senior\/mtt\/kaleigh_gilchrist_879121.html\" target=\"_blank\">Kaleigh Gilchrist<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Newport Beach, CA\/USC\/NYAC) scored the next two for Team USA and Fattal added her first to put the United States in the lead 4-2 after the first quarter.<\/p>\n<p>The scoring continued in the second quarter as<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.usawaterpolo.org\/sports\/w-senior\/mtt\/kiley_neushul_846599.html\" target=\"_blank\">Kiley Neushul<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Goleta, CA\/Stanford\/Santa Barbara) scored two of the next four goals for a 7-3 lead going into halftime. After missing two shots in close\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.usawaterpolo.org\/sports\/w-senior\/mtt\/kami_craig_833864.html\" target=\"_blank\">Kami Craig<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Santa Barbara, CA\/USC\/NYAC) found redemption with a powerful backhand to give the United States an 8-3 lead with <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1836282658\"><span class=\"aQJ\">5:53<\/span><\/span> to play in the quarter. Neushul followed with her third, then came a goal from Bruin alum\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.usawaterpolo.org\/sports\/w-senior\/mtt\/kk_clark_846601.html\" target=\"_blank\">KK Clark<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(Menlo Park, CA\/UCLA\/NYAC) followed by the first of the day from Musselman for an 11-3 lead after three periods.<\/p>\n<p>Musselman kicked off the fourth period with her second goal less than thirty seconds in and then put a cap on the match some <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1836282659\"><span class=\"aQJ\">five minutes later<\/span><\/span> with her fourth and final tally. In between came two Russian goals that wouldn&#8217;t factor in the decision as Team USA pulled away for the 15-7 win.<\/p>\n<p>The United States went 6\/9 on power plays and 2\/3 on penalty shots while Russia was 1\/6 on power plays and 1\/1 on penalty shots.<\/p>\n<p>Scoring<br \/>\nUSA 15 (4, 3, 4, 4) M.
