Bick<\/p><\/div>\n<p>After completing her freshman year, Runge\u00a0decided to leave Cal and head to Arizona to train\u00a0under her NBAC coach\u00a0<strong>Bob Bowman<\/strong>\u00a0at Arizona State.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>There, she\u00a0trained with\u00a0<strong>Allison Schmitt\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Michael Phelps,\u00a0<\/strong>both whom are also on Team USA and were her former NBAC teammates.<\/p>\n<h2>2. Wisconsin&#8217;s distance\u00a0coach,\u00a0<strong>Chris Collier,\u00a0<\/strong>was Runge&#8217;s coach prior to Bowman. She&#8217;s the first Badger women&#8217;s swimmer to make an Olympic team since\u00a0<strong>Carly Piper\u00a0<\/strong>in 2004. Ironically, Piper also finished 5th in the 200 freestyle and competed on the 4&#215;200 free relay.<\/p>\n<h2>3. At Pan Pacs in 2014, Runge took second in the 400 free, fifth in the 800, and fourth in the 1500.<\/p>\n<h2>4. Franklin will also\u00a0represent Team USA with Runge in Rio.<\/p>\n<h2>5. Her father,\u00a0<strong>Scott,<\/strong>\u00a0played soccer at West Chester University and her brother,\u00a0<strong>Taylor,<\/strong> played baseball at Bucknell University. Younger sister Madison was also an Olympic Trials qualifier for the 800 freestyle. Just after the Trials concluded in Omaha Madison was inducted into and will swim for the United States Naval Academy.<\/p>\n<p>Runge grew up in\u00a0Cochranville, Pennsylvania.\u00a0Becoming\u00a0an
