She stopped the clock in 57.78, just faster than her old mark of 57.79. The 20 year old set the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/svetlana-chimrova-breaks-russian-record-100-fly-57-79\/\" target=\"_blank\">old record<\/a>\u00a0in April at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2016-russian-nationals\" target=\"_blank\">Russian Nationals<\/a>. Today, <strong>Natalia<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Lovtsova <\/strong>finished second in 58.65.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daria K. Ustinova\u00a0<\/strong>is on her way to sweeping the backstroke events this weekend. She posted a 29.09 in the 50 and a 2:11.10 in the 200. In the sprint, she was followed by <strong>Alexandra Papusha<\/strong>\u00a0in 29.26 while in the 200, <strong>Irina Prikhodko<\/strong> grabbed second with a 2:13.82.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Veronika Popova\u00a0<\/strong>led three women under two minutes in the 200 freestyle with a 1:57.53. Prikhodko<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>touched second in 1:59.54, while\u00a0<strong>Daria Mullakaeva\u00a0<\/strong>slipped under the barrier with a 1:59.86.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s 50 butterfly\u00a0<strong><strong>Oleg Kostin\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong>stopped the clock in 23.31, just ahead of <strong>Nikita Korolev\u00a0<\/strong>in 23.59.
