Another mere .01 behind was\u00a0<strong>Manuel Martin\u00a0<\/strong>in 1:50.09.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Melani Costa\u00a0<\/strong>stopped the clock in 1:57.78 to win the women&#8217;s 200 freestyle. Also under two minutes was\u00a0<strong>Patricia Castro Ortega\u00a0<\/strong>in 1:58.79.<\/p>\n<p><strong>B.K. Ortiz-Canavate\u00a0<\/strong>won the men&#8217;s 50 breaststroke in 28.32, just ahead of\u00a0<strong>Andrews Malconian\u00a0<\/strong>with a 28.35.\u00a0<strong>Jessica Vall\u00a0<\/strong>won the women&#8217;s event with a 31.80, ahead of\u00a0<strong>Maria Garcia\u00a0<\/strong>in 31.88.<\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s 50 backstroke champion was\u00a0<strong>J.Miguel Rando\u00a0<\/strong>in 25.46. He added that to his 100 backstroke title from yesterday.\u00a0<strong>Marco Palacios\u00a0<\/strong>touched second in 25.53, just .01 ahead of\u00a0<strong>Juan Guiterrez\u00a0<\/strong>(25.54).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mercedes Peris\u00a0<\/strong>won the women&#8217;s 50 backstroke with her 28.51.\u00a0<strong>Duan Da Rocha,<\/strong>\u00a0the 100 backstroke champion,<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>dipped under 29 with a 28.90 and\u00a0<strong>Fatima Gallardo\u00a0<\/strong>stopped the clock in 28.98.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Konrad Cerniak\u00a0<\/strong>added to his 50 freestyle win with a 52.31 in the 100 butterfly.\u00a0<strong>Alberto Lozano\u00a0<\/strong>registered a 53.18 for silver.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Judit Ignacio\u00a0<\/strong>was runner up in yesterday&#8217;s 200 butterfly and she won tonight&#8217;s 100 with a 1:00.39.\u00a0<strong>Carmen Balbuena\u00a0<\/strong>finished second in 1:01.07.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s 800 freestyle\u00a0<strong>Miguel Duran\u00a0<\/strong>was the only swimmer under eight minutes with his 7:58.48.<\/p>\n<p>Full results available <a href=\"http:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2016-spanish-summer-open-day-3-day-3-international-club-age-group-2016-07-13.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For her third win of the week at the Spanish Summer Open,\u00a0Mireia Belmonte\u00a0swam a 4:36.89 in the 400 IM.\u00a0Catalina Corro\u00a0earned silver in 4:41.98.
