Out of the pool, however, the 2016 European Open Water Championships began with the 10K last week in Hoorn, Netherlands. Our performance of the week comes from that competition, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ferry-weertman-wins-mens-race-women-tie-for-gold-in-european-open-water-10k\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">where fans witnessed a rare tie between <\/span><b>Rachele Bruni<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Aurelie Muller <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for gold in the 10K event<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
